MNSSHP 2006, Ready to start planning!

After reading a LOT of mixed reviews about CRT my DW and I bit the bullet and booked CRT for 24 Oct at 5:20 PM. We figured that even if the food it terrible and the service horrible we have never eaten in the castle so it will be an experience. Well that and we will be in costume for MNSSHP so it will be a plus to get that picture in the castle in our costumes.

Well, I called Dining and I tried to make ressies for 10/5 at LTT but there is NOTHING!! So I made them for the next day 10/6 at 4:10. I can't believe it...Between work during the day and school at night I can't think straight. I really didn't want to go on Friday night because it's Columbus Day weekend and I'm fearing a crowd. Oh, well :confused3
More LTT times should open up on Monday after tickets go on sale. I'd try calling back then.

How long are the wait times for rides on these nights? Which land do they usually have open between 4-6?

YMMV on the ride waits. It just depends on the night you go and which part of the park you hang out at but for the most part they aren't bad at all.

From 4:00 to 6:00p the park is completely OPEN. The park closes at 6:00p and re-opens at 7:00p.

From 6 - 7 when the park is closed, they leave one land open for party goers to enjoy. It used to be Tomorrowland but last year it was Adventureland and Frontierland.

My DD/8 and myself had dinner at CRT on March 3-16-06 and it was WONDERFUL!!!! I don't think you'll be disappointed with the food at all. The service was good, but of course they are s/w rushed because of the volume of people that eat there. We had very good service. They don't really have time for a lot of chit chat, but that was OK with me. The castle is magical and there is nothing more Disney!! pixiedust:

Have a good trip!!!! :wave2:

now I need to figure out our costumes!! ;)
Having a little trouble with that myself. And I can only admit that here. Anywhere else and they would look at me like i was crazy for even thinking about Halloween costumes in April. I'm still trying to decide if the adults should dress up or not. Last year we were planning on it, then realized our costumes would be too hot so we didn't, Then we went and most adults weren't dressed up so we were kinda glad we didn't, but this year I would like to do it. I'm not normally the type of person who really cares what everyone else is doing so why not, right? Now I need a costume for DH that dosen't involve tights. He has made it clear that he will go along, reluctantly, with dressing up but WILL NOT wear tights under any circumstances.

Hi Corryn! I have to say that your costumes look awesome! I love the picture of the kids with pirate Chip. Too cute! Could you tell me where you found Chip dressed as a pirate? Did you see any other characters in costume at the party last year? I can't wait to character hunt at this year's party! pirate:

I can't wait for our trip. We ar egoing on Sep 29. Does it matter what day you go? is it always the same. Do you bring your own bag for candy. Are there any pins that are special at this time.

The party is the same every night. They hand out treat bags to everyone as they enter the party. And, yes, they do have special pins - - now, I think those are different for each night of the party. Anyone know for sure?

You are going to LOVE MNSSHP! Sooooo fun!

They do have a different pin every night. I also think if they have any left over they sell them at the next party. My question isthough, is there any way to find out which pins will be sold on what nights? I missed out on the Tinkerbell pin last year & would love to get one this year.

Yes, if you go to www.dizpins.com, a couple weeks before the party starts, they will have pics of all the different pins and their dates. At least they have the last couple of years.

I had thought we would arrive around 5:15 to eat CS and be done by the closing hour. However, if we decide to eat at 6:00 instead, would Columbia Harbor House be open or does it close with the park?

Thanks,

Thanks,

Last year for the hour the park was closed only Pesco Bills was open; everything else was closed.

The year before when it was Tomorrowland that was left open, it was Cosmic Rays that was left open.

Columbia Harbor House was closed.

I'm sure this has probably been answered some place but there are too many posts. They were all starting to make my head spin!

I know tickets go on sale on Monday but do to various things I probably won't get a change to call till Friday. Do all the tickets get sold out quickly? I guess I'm asking is if I wait how hard will it be to get tickets?

Thanks!

Last year Halloween night (always a sell out) didn't sell out till the end of September.

Yay! :cheer2: We wouldn't be going Halloween night so this is good news. Halloween is my bf's favorite holiday so I'd hate it if we couldn't get tickets. So now I just need to figure out what to dress up as....
