Just thought I would write a quick post about our experiece as there had been many questions/comments in the last week or so.

We arrived at the party at 6:10pm (flight landed at 3, than ME, than boat over from VWL so that was as soon as we could get there.)

Getting in (and our wrist band) was really easy, no wait at any of the turnstyles. Had to enter to the right as that was the "in" ad the left side was the park exit.

As you cam around the circle it was lined with 4 CM's holding signs that each had one word "See you real Soon". They basically made a human wall to force those leaving MK to go their right. Main Street was wonderfully decorated and lined with CM's. The CM's were approxiametly every 5 feet. They had two sided signs. For those of us coming in they said things like Boo To You, Happy Halloween, etc. The other side was a good night for non-party guests. The flow on Main Street was great!!! You could see lots of people being moved very quickly. We headed to Pecos Bills for a quick dinner, almost no lines though the dining room was about 90% full. We finished eating at about 6:45pm and went to buy our Halloween pin. Although our wristband was on, we were told they had to wait until 7pm, no big deal. We headed toward Haunted Mansion. Every 20-30 feet we found CM's checking wristband for those heading toward the mountains and turning around those that did belong (a very small percentage IMHO).

We ended up skipping HM and getting our picture with the Hitch Hiking Ghosts. From there we did our pic with Cindi's Carriage. Fantasyland was filled with managers and CM's doing wristband checks. I found the park as clear of non-party goers as we did for MVMCP last year. We rode IASW (walked right on) and than went to do the Dance Party with Perla & Suzy. From there we did a few character pics (Piglet & Tigger) and Trick or Treating. Went to Toon Town, more Trick or Treating, face painting line was about 20 people so we skipped it. Minnie was an hour wait for a Pic and Mickey was 40 minutes so we skipped it. More Trick or Treating in Toon Town and The path toward space mountain. Did SM - walked on, Trick or Treating by CofP, rode Buzz and than headed off to the parade. oh, more Trick or Treating (can you see where DD's head was). Thought the parade was great (we watched from by LTT), we can't stop singing the toons and than LOVED Hallowishes. Did more Trick or Treating and pics (love the huge Simba). Headed to Toon Town for Mickey and Minnie, got a pic with Snow White and all the dwarfs along the way.

Overall it was great. The two main comments I have read are about candy and decorations, so here is MHO. Candy seems to have no rhythm or reason. Some stops had 2 CM's to a barrel, sometimes both gave you candy, sometimes just one - happened when crowded and empty. We recieved as little as 1 piece and as much as 2 heaping handfuls (this was at 10pm, so it was not like they were emptying for the end of the night). They offered more T or T bags as you went along and DD each had 2 almost full bags. The snickers topper at the end was very light.

Decorations, as others said, it is certainly not Christmas but than most of our house decorations are probably much lighter now too. I thought it was well decorated and lots of decorations. Banners, blow ups, pictures projected on pathways, etc. I figured the projections were for the Party but did not realize how many decorations came down at the end of the night until we went back on Saturday. There is a set up by the boat docks that stayed and pumpkins in the windows above Main Street but I think that is about it.

Ask away if I left anything out.

We were there too that night!

Overall we had a good time but it was EXTREMELY crowded IMO. The parade was a nightmare with all the people so I really didn't get a chace to enjoy it.

I agree about the candy, we had some CM give out 1 piece...and it was a smartie!! :furious: We ended up with one very full bag though between the 3 of us.

The highlights were the dancing with perla and suzy at the dance party and meeting the princesses in the tent in toon town.

We will do it again next year but try for a less crowded night and have a better plan of action. I will also book LTT which I didn't this time.

I was at MNSSHP on 10/10 and 10/12. We loved it.
It seemed like on 10/12, the crowds were worse. I was not expecting so many tickets to be sold for this event. The lines for photos were VERY long and it seemed that at every direction we turned there were throngs of people and stollers just coming towards us and would not stop.
We got so much candy that we just had to weigh it when we came home. Just from the two days, my husband and myself got over 11 pounds of candy. We didn't even hit every candy stop either.
My daughter has her own huge stash of candy from the night.
I am going to bring a big bag of the candy to work to pass around the office.

One more thing: How many raisins did you all get?

We got enough to make about 10 loaves of raisen bread! :rotfl2:

We could tell that no one wanted the raisins or those red hot Hot Tamale candies.
Those little boxes were being left on benches and on the ground all over the park!

Enjoyed reading your review ~ Thanx for posting.

Forgot to add Disney is trying to go a little healthy. Raisins was a big trick or treat "candy"

I was there that night too! Going again on Tuesday night... I figure if you want pictures in ToonTown get there about 6:45pm because when I went on 10/12 by 7:30pm the lines were like the OP said about 40 minutes long for Mickey, Minnie, Princesses and probably the TT to Tomorrowland pathway with Alice and Friends.

Stitch's dance party with Donald and Pluto in Tomorrowland was busy... got lots of pictures though! Parade was great! Got a great spot for the 10:30pm parade at about 10pm right along side Pecos Bill's. :)

FYI: Get the purple Halloween Photo Pass card to be able to get the 50% off your 5x7 pictures!! The first couple I got with Minnie were just on my regular grey PP so no discount on those.

We were there on Oct 12th too. Parade was great. I didn't get any raisins in my bag. We left during the 2nd parade because Sis got tired.

Oh!!!! I am so excited. We'll be at the Party this coming weekend and I can barely contain my excitement. Even though raisins are the last thing I want when I'm trick or treating (DH will love it- he's nuts about raisins), I would never leave them on the ground or benches. That's just so tacky. I hate people that litter in the park. Son't they have more pride then that!?!?!?

Where do you get the special Halloween Photo Passes for the discounted picture? Is it one picture per ticket holder? We have 4 people and would like to get more than one picture.

We got our special photo pass from the cast member who was forming the line for pictures of the carriage in front of the Haunted Mansion.
We were told that the pass was good for as many pictures we wanted to purchase at the park that night or as many pictures as we want as long as it is in one transaction online.

Im very excited!! Those of you who said it was crowded did you find the rides like spash to be crowded? What rides are open??
Thanks for the info!!! :sunny:

Our longest line on 10/12 was for Space Mountain (20 minutes) and Peter Pan (15 minutes). Splash Mountain was only about 10 minutes and so was Big Thunder Mountain. That night we did not even attempt Buzz Lightyear because we could see the wait was at least 20 or more.
The longest lines were for pictures. The wait was at least 30 minutes to get a picture in Toontown Fair. It was about 20 minutes to get a picture with Cinderella's Coach. Every ride we wanted to go on was open.
All I noticed was that Jungle Cruise and Carousel of Progress were not opened.

We found ride times to vary based heavily on what just ended. We did Buzz with a 3 minute wait near the beginning of the party (probably about 8:15pm) but after the fireworks it had a 20 minute wait posted

Maybe it was crowded due to some schools out Oct. 12th-13th?

Hopefully it won't be that crowded this Thursday(19th) when we attend.

Yuck, we got tons of raisins too! My first candy stop, and I got a bag of raisins, and a fruit jelly thing! Dh says that as bad as Charlie Browns "I got a rock".

Did ayone get to ride Splash on the 12th? Every time we walked by it was broken down.

I thought it was much more crowded than last year, which was more crowded than the year before. I think they need to cut down on the number of tickets they sell. We still had fun, but it was very crowded and hard to do everything we wanted to do.

We were there that night as well.

We really enjoyed it as first timers. I thought the parade was great. Catchy music.

Splash was down, so BTMRR had a 20 minute line, which we skipped.

The Buzz ride line really moves when there is no fastpass.

One warning to others! The villians DO NOT come out at the 9:00 "mix and mingle" due to the fireworks at 9:30. So do schedule things around that expecting to mingle.

We skipped photopass, because the line was HUGE. Was not worth the wait/

We were there, too!! We had an absolute BLAST! We accomplished everything we set out to do-- which was mostly characters, parade, and fireworks. I loved Hallowishes and the parade! We didn't care about the rides, since you can do those any day of the week. I did seem awful crowded but not as bad as I was expecting. I definitely want to do MNSSHP again!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
