We will be at WDW on Halloween night. Now that MNSSHP is sold out, what else is going on that night that we could do? Does anyone know? I once heard someone has a hay ride somewhere. Our party includes me, DH, DD (11) and DD's 11 year old friend! Thanks for the help! We are first timers!

You could go to Downtown Disney. The stores have candy and you could go trick or treating. Resorts usually have something too.

These are at Fort Wilderness

Nightly wagon rides at Pioneer Hall at 7 and 9:30 p.m.- Cost $8 adults, $4 children. Depending on Magic Kingdom hours, there are sometimes special "Fireworks" wagon rides scheduled.

Private carriage rides - Cost $30/half-hour. Call (407) 824-2832 to reserve (reservations suggested, not required). Depart from Crockett's Tavern at Pioneer Hall between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. nightly. There are two carriages available; one accommodates four adults and two children, the other accommodates two adults and two children.

The Boardwalk has had a Halloween party. We were there last year. It's set up on the village green with a DJ, music, costume contest, trick or treating, and cookie decorating. DH and I don't have kids, but we enjoyed sitting on the patio outside the Belle View Room watching.

The Haunted Hayride is actually different from the regular hayride. It is held at Ft. Wilderness but you must purchase the tickets the morning of the day you plan to attend. The tickets go on sale at 9am at the kennel which is located in the front parking lot of Ft. Wilderness. They give you a time to come back that evening for your ride.

We did this last year and it was so cool! We are also a family of four. Two DD's-6 and 9. They loved it! The wagon goes out into a deserted eerie type fog out into the woods and an old man gets on the carraige and re-tells the story of Ichabod Crane. Then as you are winding your way through the dark woods you will be surprised with a visit from none other than The Headless Horseman! It's pretty authentic looking and the kids were screaming as he rode by! It was all good fun. It's pretty inexpensive and my kids still talk about what fun they had. It's only held certain nights in October but I'm sure one of the nights will be on Halloween.

It's always a sell out so if you're interested be sure and buy your tickets at 9am from the kennel the day of the ride.

Thanks for this info! I didn't know this.

DH and I will arrive around 6pm Halloween night. We're staying at BWV. I didn't have anything planned after dinner...now I do! :D

check at the front desk of your hotel, they will have a list of all the halloween happenings that are going on at different resorts. 2 years ago we stayed at por and they were having some sort of party and costume contest
