MNNSHP, Epcot, MK question

If we are planning on going to Epcot the day of MNNSHP, do we need to buy a hopper pass in order to get into MCCSHP (if we're not planning on going to MK before the party begins)?

We're doing our first Disney cruise and flying out two days prior, and had planned on Fri: day at the beach, Sat: MK/MNNSHP (and staying off location). Just realized that MNNSHP tickets are already for sale and tried to purchase but they are not having the party on the Saturday we are there so that means our only day to go is Fri (we arrive at the airport before noon). DH isn't too excited about just buying tickets for both Fri and Sat and staying at the resort prior to the cruise (we did full out disney vacations 2 years in a row, but never went to Epcot). We had talked up the halloween party really big to our daughter and bought her a special costume already.

No, you do not need hopper passes to go to MNSSHP --unless you plan on going to MK before the party start time. In past years, they have let MNSSHP guests into the park at 4 p.m. even though the party doesn't "officially" start until 7 p.m.

Hard ticket event tickets are not linked to any other tickets. You will not need hoppers. And as PP mentioned, you should be able to enter at 4. I highly encourage you to take advantage of this so you get the most out of the party events.
