Sorry it has taken me so long to post my dining report but when I got home Feb 18, 4 days later we got a foster baby straight from the hospital so been a tad busy. ;)
Anywho this trip I ran away from home for 6 days from Feb 13th - feb 18. It was just me and to be honest I will always do the dining plan when I go to WDW!!! I saved about $110 for just me! :teeth: I told my family I was going to eat my way through the world and I think I actually accomplished it! ;)
I had no problems with using the dining plan and the wait staff was very helpful and wonderful! Esp Spike at CRT's! :wizard:
I am a 38 year old culinary grad who loves great food but also a bit of a park comando ;)

Sun Feb 13th: Arrived around noon so headed over to MK to get my El Pirata Perico fix. Had the Taco Salad which was good and a Churro which really disapointed me since it was a bit stale. Also large bottle of water. Cost would have been $10.40 used a counter service coupon.
Dinner at CRT. All I can say is this was one of the best dinners I had not just for the food but the service and ambiance was amazing! I had the shrimp and lobster margretta yummy but shrimp a bit overcooked. The fillet with veggies was a great entree! Steak was very tender and melted in your mouth! Also had the punch to drink. For dessert I had the chocolate cake which is amazing but HUGE! Cost would have been $53.70 :earseek: Used a sit down for this
Total food cost for the day was $64.10.

Monday Feb 14: Breakfast at Pop, had the grilled veggie fritta platter. It was really tasty and huge! Also had extra side of bacon and a croissant. I just paid for this meal it was $10.36
Lunch was a super healthy meal of an order of McDonald's french fries in MGM. ;) They were yummy! Cost $2.50
Dinner I went over to Boardwalk and ate at one of my fave restraunts. Spoodles! Had 2 Sangrias which were super yummy as always. Had the garlic lemon shrimp which was to die for! Then I had the Steak and smashed potatoes which were very good but not as good as CRT's steak. Dessert had the cherry cheesecake which was really good. Cost was $54.60 plus $16.00 for the 2 sangrias. Used a sit down for this dinner.
Total food cost this day was $83.46 :earseek: :earseek:

Tuesday Feb 15: Breakfast was at Boma and all I can say is WOW!! Best breakfast of the whole trip! Esp loved the frunch, caramel rolls, veggie fritta, and the breakfast pizza. Cost was $17.03 paid cash for this.
Lunch was at Flame Tree BBQ. Very good food and found out on accident when using your counter service here there is only one entree that you can order an additional side with and that is the BBQ chicken salad! So had the salad and an order of fries with cheese on the side. Also had the Key lime pie which was awesome! Alot of food but way yummy!
Cost was $16.40 used a counter service for this one. Also had the Safari Amber beer which is really good!
Dinner was back at Boma. It was just as amazing as breakfast was! Way yummy! Had a bit of everything and faves were the chicken corn chowder, frou frou, sirloin in a wonderful tamerind bbq sauce, and the coconut tira misu<SP?>. Cost was $30.37 used a sit down for this.
Total food cost for today was 63.54.

Wed Feb 16: Skipped breakfast since had too much to eat the night before. ;)
Lunch at ABC Commisary. Had a cheeseburger and fries and a large water. Dessert was a piece of apple spice cake. I had heard so many mixed reviews on this counter service but honestly it was very good. Cost was $12.10 used a counter service for here.
Dinner was at Mama Melrose's. It was another special dinner and so very yummy! :teeth: I got a half carafe of Sangria which was even better than at Spoodle's! for an appetizer I had the Brushetta which was amazing! My entree was the Penna Alla Vodka which was perfect even though huge! Dessert I had the Chocolate truffle cake which was really good from what I can remeber since a half carafe of sangria kinda clouded my memory ;) Cost for meal was $42.68 and used another sit down for here.
Total meal cost for the day was $54.78.

Thursday Feb 17: I hiked over to Trail's End Buffet to try out this little hidden gem for breakfast. I have to admit it was really good but not as great as I expected. I have to admit though that the glazed doughnuts are some of the best I have ever tasted! Cost was $11.73 which I paid cash for.
Lunch was at Harry Ramsden's Fish and Chips in Epcot and it was awesome! Had the fish and chips and a water. cost $ 8.92 paid for this in cash also.
Dinner was at Rose and Crown since I have a serious love affair going with their mushroom medley but since I haven't been there in 7 years they have changed it and it is not as good as it was before. :( Had the Steak and Prawns as an entree and it was just ok not great. Had the apple crumble which was a pretty good dessert. Cost for Dinner was $ 39.80 used a sit down for this.
Total cost for day was $60.45.

Friday Feb 18 (last day boo hoo):
Breakfast at Mainstreet Bake Shop. Had the blueberry crumble muffin which was very good and a croissant and large water. Very yummy love this place! Cost for breakfast was $7.95 paid cash for this.
Lunch at Pecos Bill's. Had a double cheeseburger with fries. and a large water and a piece of chocoalte pie. This was a really good counter service meal esp the chocolate pie! Cost was $ 11.89 used a Counter service.
Dinner was at Pop waiting for the bus to the airport. Had the loaded nachos, red velvet cake and a large water. Cake was awesome nacho's were so so. Cost for meal was $12.97 used last counter service for this.
Total cost for day $ 32.81.

All in all it was an awesome food trip. I couldn't believe the savings using the meal plan and also it was a huge amount of food but I knew Disney's portions were huge and sometimes I would get the dessert to go so I would have them later.
If you have any questions feel free to ask! :earsgirl:

Thanks for the report. Glad you had a good experience. Now it's time to loosen the belt buckle, eh? ;)

Did you ask beforehand or you found out when the cashier rang you up?

Thanks,
TT

ROFLMAO!! Nope was smart and lost 30 lbs before I left! ;) Seriously I actually lost a couple of pounds on this trip then again probably because I walk all over the place in WDW and at home need to walk more ;)

Well I was ordering and the lady ringing me out laughed and said guess what you have picked the only entree you can also order a side with. So it was kinda during I found out.

Great reviews ~ Thanx for sharing.

Thanks for sharing.

I'm looking foward to using the dining plan next month. How did you use your snack options?

Did you happen to eat at Mamma Melrose as part of the FDP? If you did, were you able to use a sit-down wish for it.

No I wasn't able to use it as part of the fantasmic plan. But I ate pretty early at 4:30 and then went over and got an amazing seat at fantasmic in the middle section about halfway up so really didn't need the dining plan for it.
