Hello all  .

This is our 13th annual Christmastime visit to WDW and our 1st time doing the MMVCP (can you believe that??). We are not sure till we get there which night we want to do. Either Sunday the 12th or Tuesday the 14th. Can you suggest which would be a better day to do? And we want to take advantage of the advance purchase, can we safely do that when we arrive at WDW on the 10th or should we not chance it and order now?

Thank you all for your help and we are so looking forward to this!

I've gotten a few different answers about advance purchase from different CMs. The general consensus was that we would get the discount if purchased at least 1 day in advance and tickets could be purchased at the resort. (One CM said we could purchase the day of the party, but it had to be before arriving at MK ---- I'm not going to risk that.)

I can remember reading that Friday night sold out closer to Christmas. That seems to be the busiest night. We, too, have to decide between Sunday and Tuesday, but I'm going to wait till we get there and see what the weather forecast is. The crowds at Disney seem to be higher this year, so I suppose I could be taking too big a chance, but I read this board all the time and figure someone will post if one of those nights are sold out and I can buy tickets then for the other night.

We went on a Sunday night 6 years ago and the crowds were manageable, but it cleared out a lot after the fireworks and was really a pleasure then. We'll definitely wait and do the 2nd parade this year.

Hope you have a great trip!

We always wait until we get to the resort. We don't go on Fridays, which is most likely to be sold out in advance. One time I did buy the tickets on the same day (weather was so bad, it cleared up in the afternoon) and I did pay full price at the Boardwalk front desk. We're planning on Tuesday Dec 7, but will go Sunday or Thursday if the weather is iffy for that night. We have gone Sunday, Monday or Tuesday for the past 6 years (early years had Monday nights instead of Sunday and Tuesday) and it's never been sold out or over crowded.

Thank you both for the great information. I will wait till we arrive to book. We are really looking forward to this!

We ordered our 1st set back on May 1st. We knew the day and then later on decided to go a second night. We just called Disney and they sent them right to us. I am sure it will be great no matter what.

I have always waited to get there an see what the weather will be like. If the weather is too bad they cancel shows and parades.
