I was just wondering about MM, Mark - I'm glad you got in touch with him.

MM - we're all thinking about you. I hope you'll stop by and check in with us. We'll keep Wally and Rosie muzzled.

Sounds like a challenge.

Thanks for the update on MM. Please send him my best when you next get in touch with him.

I sure hope he is doing ok, or at least getting to a point where he's feeling better.

Miss you a ton MM. I''m going to see if I can cyber stalk your phone number out of the work system Friday and try and call you.

I'm actually taken aback by all of the responses left for me on here. Thank you so much, guys. :grouphug::grouphug: This means a lot to me. :sad1:

HEALTH NEWS
I haven't been spending too much time online (with the exception of making a few pointless posts on FaceBook) mainly because it literally hurts to look at a screen for very long unless I take a massive amount of pain relievers, which I had to do for the pleurisy for the last few months, so I don't like doing it. (BTW, the pleurisy finally went away after about 3.5 months.)

Anyway, the problem I was having with my right eye turned into something very different and a bit more severe. The swelling went away, but now both eyes are in severe pain. I have an appointment in a couple weeks with a neuro-opthalmologist, where I'll be able to get some free care due to a special referral program I've become a part of. I was informed that there may be nerve damage that may be causing the problem, but the good news is they believe it's not diabetes-related. If they find out it is I could be in big trouble.

Speaking of diabetes, I was finally able to score some free insulin from a particular company. It took a long time and was like pulling teeth, but at least I've got insulin now.

JOB NEWS
I had an interview for a great job with a photo studio a couple weeks ago, but they called me back, canceled it and told me the position was filled by someone internally. I was then informed by the HR person that the woman who is in charge of the interviews hates the man who gave me the reference, which is probably why I didn't get the interview. (This really ticked me off because it turned out I was a lot more qualified than the guy who was given the job.)

I have one more chance with an interview I have early next week. My roommate is close friends with the person doing the hiring, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. This could make or break me.

I apologize about being a bit cryptic about the next topic. It's a little embarrassing. There's a chance I might be moving out of my current residence to somewhere that isn't exactly pleasant and I'm not proud of. If this turns out to be the case I won't have internet access. I can't allow my roommate to pay for my bills and rent any more because it's just not fair to him. I won't be staying with family, for reasons I won't get into on here.

At any rate, I want to thank you all again. It meant so much to me that I found all these messages. I miss you guys.

 I so wish you would get a break with regard to the employment situation.

I'm sorry to hear about the real discomfort with your eyes. I can't imagine how that must be. Here's hoping that it is not diabetes related. Good news on the insulin! That's a big plus.

I'm sorry too that you may have to move. :(

Please take care and stop by when you can. We are all thinking of you and surely do miss you!

Oh MM
Thanks so much for checking in.
We miss you as you can see.
I'm sending all my devilry powers that all turns out alright for you.

Monorail Man!

I'm glad you're dealing with your health issues! Hopefully things will continue to improve on that front.

And I'll send good vibes to you on the employment front as well.

On the possibility of losing your internet access . . . do public libraries there have internet connections for people to use like the ones here do? That might be a good resource to continue job hunting online, and (I'm being selfish here) to pop in to the DIS every now and then and tell us all the great news that I'm sure you're going to have for us very soon!

We really do worry about you, buddy, please take care of yourself!

I'm glad you posted and I hope it all works out for you very soon.

::yes:: We really do!

Please feel better soon and don't be embarrassed, everyone falls on hard times at one point or another in their lives and it could happen to any of us in a heartbeat. You have a group of people here that care about you alot. Use us (especially Wally). ;)

:flower3:

Oh my! I haven't been on the Dis in a while myself, and just saw this! Please take care of yourself! Our thoughts are with you, and I hope they can get to the bottom of it so that you can get some relief soon! And good luck on the job interview. I certainly hope things take a turn for the good in your life. You deserve it. :grouphug:

MM...gald to hear things are a bit better on the health front. I was in the grocery store last week and you popped into my head....weird?

I hope things start to look up for you!

Thanks for the update, although I'm sorry you're still struggling so much. I really hope things improve soon.

Golly! It was good to drop in and see your post! :goodvibes Good news about the pleurisy and insulin. Sorry to hear about your continuing problems with your sight and employment. Rob's idea about accessing the internet at the library sure sounds like a good one until you get back on your feet. Sending you serious good interview vibes!
(((((((((:goodvibes)))))))))))

Hoping you get good (and informative) news about your eyes -- and best of luck on the interview

MM...would you by chance need a new glucometer? I have one (unused) in my car (to give to patients, but we stopped that program awhile back and I never turned mine in). It may have some test strips with it (can't gaurentee they aren't post dated). I think it's a Contour.

Let me know! (I will be in Vegas this week, but I can send it to you once I get back)

HUGS!

MM - We've all been thinking about you. I'm glad you finally got a source for insulin. Please try to post once in a while so we don't worry too much. We're all behind you ... well, we're all with you in spirit! :grouphug:

MM - I'm also in Ohio, but I am south of Columbus. I don't know of any job opportunities, but I am sending you strong Buckeye wishes for a job soon. I hope things improve for you very quickly. It sure seems you have had more than your share of difficult times. Sending you nothing but good wishes!!:grouphug:
