I have been reading that you can enter the MK earlier than 7:00 with you mmnsshp ticket and enjoy the park even though you do not have a ticket to the park for that day. It seems like lots of people enter around 4:30 - 5:00. We are staying off site and plan on eating an early dinner in our condo and then arriving. If you arrive around 6 or 6:15, will you still be allowed to enter the MK or do you have to enter before they officially close the park for the day?

From what I understand, you're allowed entry without the need of a day ticket at 4pm. I don't know if you'll be able to enter MK between 6pm and 7pm...since that will be the time they put up decorations and all party-goers already in MK will have been restricted to one land.

You can enter any time after 4:00p with your party ticket. The park officially closes at 6:00p but party goers can still enter then.

We're planning on arriving between 4 and 5:50 (our ADR at LTT). Thanks to the info on Disboards I found out even before we ordered our tix that you could enter at 4. We are going on 9-15 for the first time. :joker:

hi
just remember if you have an annual pass that if you arrive after 6pm you will have to pay. no free parking for special events! we try and arrive between 4pm - 5.30pm show a.p. to get into car park and then use party ticket to access the :thumbsup2 park

We generally get there around 5:00. That gives us plenty of time to get in and find something to eat before everything officially starts.

When I purchased my tickets on this Wednesday (7/27/2006) I specifically asked about entering the park early. The CM stated that you can enter 2 hours prior to the start of MNSSHP.

We are going on 9/29 and had made ADR's for 7:15pm at Tony's, but changed to 5:20pm at the Grand Floridian Cafe. There we only 2-3 TS ressies available all night at MK or any resort on the monorail loop. Is this usually the case? We changed our ressie so as not to waste time during the party with our 4 year old twin girls who may not make it all night, and to ensure we see the first parade.

It is our first time for our DD's and we have not been in 12 years since our honeymoon. Are we excited or what :sunny: :dance3:

Tour guide mike just passed along an announcement this week that MK is NOT going to close at 6pm but at 7pm for the party so all of MK will be accessible I don't think he's sure what the impact will be.

If you look at the calendar on the WDW website closing time for the MNSSHP parties is 7pm instead of 6pm. I'm not sure how they are going to pull this off with no hour gap in between.

And Mouseplanet has their own announcement that the 7:00p closing is wrong at least for the MVMCP dates. :confused3

Very Merry scheduling issue really just a computer glitch

We have been reassured that the scheduling issue regarding Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party that we reported last week is the result of an ongoing conversion to a new computer system called OneSource.

Previously, all information on operating hours, show times, ticket prices and so on were updated manually on multiple platforms such as Disney.com, the internal cast member site, the online times guide and so forth. With the conversion to OneSource, the information gets updated in one central location and is then propagated out to the various systems (so there is therefore only "One Source" for the information).

Apparently, the true hours for December have not yet been fed into the system, so the system automagically takes its best guess or uses a default time as a space filler. Reportedly, under the new system, times become certain only about three months in advance. Disney is working to resolve that issue.

In the meantime, however, it does appear that the Magic Kingdom will indeed close at 6 p.m. on the nights of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, and there will be no fireworks for day guests on those dates.

Some have it on good authority that at least for the Halloween dates that it is right. Honestly I hope it's wrong I can see it being a nightmare if they don't have that hour to get the non paying party guest out.
