MMNSHP ticket question

I have a friend going for the first time with 2 little kids. I was thinking she could go to MMNSHP on arrival day and then again for a full day later that week when the decorations switch over to Xmas. Am I correct in thinking she only needs a party ticket and not a park ticket to attend the party? Also, I know they aren't available yet, but does anyone recall how much the party tickets cost last year so she could decide if the party is worth the cost? She will definitely need to go to MK twice, she wants to see the Halloween and then the Xmas decorations.

Correct. For a hard-ticket event like the Halloween and Christmas parties, a day ticket is not needed.

What date is she looking to go? Cost of tickets varies by date. For instance last year the cheapest dates (mostly the earlier ones) were $79, while the most expensive, Halloween night, were $135. That's for adults. Child tickets were $5 less.

She can just purchase the party tickets, but then she will have to enter MK no earlier than 4:00 pm when they allow guests in without regular day tickets (or at 2:00 pm if she is, by chance, a DVC member). If she would like to go earlier than 4:00 pm, she would need a regular ticket as well as the party ticket.
