Yummy! I love tomato sandwiches. I like mine nice and simple. White bread...really fresh white bread. Helman's mayo and salt and pepper. Oh...I wish I had some garden grown tomatos right now.
I love tomatoes and you guys have really given me some good ideas. Jersey tomatoes are the best and living in Virginia, I really miss them! Yum, french bread, olive oil, mozzarella and tomatoes, sounds so good.
I was just about to say, you all have a lot more self composure than I obviously do because my tomoatoes never make it to the point of going in between two slices of bread - they are eaten like an apple or sliced with salt.
I also like to have the with Mozz and Basil and olive oil. But even that is a lot to get it to that point without cheating and just eating the whole thing right then and there.
we planted 25 plants..and we have more tomatoes than we can handle right now..planted some yellow ones and a brand called 'jubilee'..which I started all from seed....they are HUGE tomatoes...biggest so far is 1 3/4 lbs!...love them on fresh italian bread with mayonnaise and sea salt and fresh ground black pepper..that has been my lunch every day for the last 2 weeks..tomorrow will be spaghetti sauce making day with some of the extras..have given them to neighbors, friends, and anyone who likes them..lol..and still tooooo many to count!

I love tomato sandwiches. This weekend I"m getting dh to take me for a 1/2hour ride to an area with more farms so I can get a bushel basket. Then I"m going to make salsa, tomato sauce and of course sandwiches. I can't believe I didn't plant any this year.
Love them..........nothin' like a Jersey tomato.
I had one for lunch today, in fact......with mayo, salt and pepper on a herbal hard roll........delish!!
