Mmmmmm..Sanders Hot Fudge...

It is off sashabaw, but the back way I knew you turned down silver lake rd by Big Boy.

I live north of there now so its south on 75 and get off at Sashabaw. Its close and I never go! There is a new mall between Pine Knob and the Palace. I'm there all the time as its my closest mall unless I need the "M" word (alternate name for Hudsons)

I have to drive out there to get my kids' rainforest fix.. I like the old navy there too :cloud9: I forsure make a once a year trip there around christmas time.. Way

You must have gotten out of the state before the tests. I remember taking them in the seventies. Now your life depends on that darn test. Its our state test for school funding/NCLB needs. Michigan Educational Assessment Program.

In one of those strange things, that entire strip mall across the expressway has better run stores than ones in less used areas! People are usually friendly there and the stores are well stocked.

Where are you in Michigan?

My son's school set records this past year for the meap. The principal went out and bought everykid in the school (from her own money) shirts that said We beat the MEAP.. With our school mascot on it. Even the preschoolers got one.. It was great.

That is also the exit the artists use to escape. Once I was stuck in the parking lot exit traffic, cussing up a storm at a big limo trying to cut me off. Well, he did, and as he drove by, Barry Manilow waved to me from the back seat. Another time, my friend followed Bette Midler to the restaurant at the golf course and went in an met her.

I can't imagine how much a concert there costs now. I loved the open air feeling, without the pain and rain of the lawn seats. I fell in love with Jackson Browne in that theater, but he never returned my affections.:sad1:

Congrats to your son and his school!

I'm sure Jackson is sad he didn't change his life right then and there! I have my own story about that parking lot. Good thing I married the guy! LOL

We had a close friend get married at their club house. The grounds are beautiful and you feel so alone back there even though you're really not.

That's a long drive for you to Great Lakes Crossing! My grandparents lived down there and my uncle currently does. My love of hockey started at the Yak. My grandpa used to take me to see my uncle play.

Good night Disney Queen!

Night DQ  My kids start back on Tuesday too and we will be in big trouble because this mommy is NOT a morning person.. Today was the official start of our hockey season. 4 1/2 hours at the rink was NOT fun.. :sad2:

How many kids do you have in hockey. I have 3 now.. 1 a PeeWee A; one a mini mite B and one just starting novice program.. I put them all in the same organization this year. They have back to back practices on wednesday's and sundays.. I will never ever be able to do this again EVER so i'm taking advantage of it.. I may have to spend 2 whole days at the rink but its better then the 3 of them at 3 different rinks at the same time.. :rotfl2: BTW I learned to skate at the Yack..

I hear ya, but this time of year I miss it so much I actually enjoy it. Ask me in February when we're driving all over five counties for the LCAHL playoffs! We played Wyandotte in our playoffs this year. What level? Hockey kid was a Bantam. He's a midget now and we're debating travel again.

Edited to add: I see you answered me before I asked! Luckily we only have one in hockey. My DD is 22 and did cheerleading and band.

That is sad especially since you were just emailing me.. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: How long ago were you at dte? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I'm seriously dying here..

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I am too. I need to go back through this thread to see how long I have been talking to you or someone else I thought..I am so stupid, I wonder how I manage to get through a day sometimes.

Those concert series I was talking about were back in the late 70's. After we moved, we were back on a visit and a friend had free tickets to a concert probably around 1990..we saw MC Hammer...not really our cup o tea, but it was free and loud....very, very loud.

I REALLY miss CoBo Hall. Saw Cat Stevens there, Jethro Tull...and of course Bob Segar. What's he been up to, is he still playing anywhere? How about Gonzo? I know they still live in Michigan, and Gonzo has a restaurant and some kind of food product line?
