Wow! I'm looking at my notes and the get away is just about over! The 4 days went by very fast!
So, let's get to the part of the trip where we had the best evening ever!
After a much needed nap, we got ready for our ADR at YSH! We were both excited about our 1st Signature Dining Experience! Special occasion with my special guy!
Okay, I know in my PTR, I asked you guys what to wear at YSH. I heard so many different things what NOT to wear like the tee shirts and cut offs. Some folks just said causal and resort causal and business causal etc etc etc etc....
I was prepared for both dressy and resort causal. So I mixed it up a little and we were fine. We both wore this causal button down shirts that were a rayon material type....the were comfy, light weight and cool. That night, the humidity was so thick you could cut it with a knife! We also wore shorts, a dressy type of shorts and we looked pretty dang good if I say so myself....
Once we were leaving the WL, I had been thinking on us taking the boat to MK and hopping on the Monorail to the TTC and then transfering to the Ecpot Monorail, then walking to YSH from the World Showcase....wheewwww! But we love the bus system so much, we just took that straigth to Epcot.....
Our ADR was at 5:40p and we hopped on the bus right at 5pm at WL. I knew we were not gonna make it, but someone decided to do a fashion show back in the room b/c they just did not know what to wear.
The bus made a stop at Ft. Wilderness after it stopped at WL. And of course, there was someone that needed special attention that was in a
scooter. (No offensive to those in scooters, it just the process that you all have to go through when getting on a bus, my mother in law has a scooter and if she ever makes to the Disney with us.....well, I don't want to think about it) Anway, I kept looking at the time on the bus clock....5:15.......then we are leaving Ft. Wilderness. I was praying the bus was not going to GF and thankfully it didn't......but it seem to be taking a longgg time to get there....
The clouds were coming again and it was getting dark and stormy like again. By the time we arrived at Epcot's Bus Dropoff, it was 530p. And everyone that knows at Epcot, the bus depot is sort of far away from the ticket gate.
I have never seen Jon walk so fast.....and it started to rain a little.....

I could not help but thinking of the episode of the Brady Bunch when Jan and Marcia were running in that theme park to deliver the building plans for Mike to the theme park owner.

(Okay, I have a thing for classic TV!)
We "ran" under the ball.....passed by the fountains, flew through Canada and got to the International Gateway...I could not take any pics like I wanted to. We pass by the Beach Club and saw our new home for September across the lake (BWV)....I hoped after dinner we could explore the Beach Club and YC just to see what it was like.
I don't know how we did it, but we were right on time......LOL! We checked in and there were guests waiting to be seated. By the way, for those of you who want to know, everyone was wearing the same type of clothes for dinner. Nice pair of dress shorts and nice button down shirts. We waited 5 mins. We were given no pager, we were just told to wait. By the way, the hostess reminded me of Vicki from the Love Boat with her uniform on....
A very dashing "captain" came and seated us...he just walked us through this beautiful place.....passed by the dessert table and prep area....so beautiful. I love the decor...the hardwood floors, very nice!
Sorry about the photos, I had the camera on this crazy mode setting and it was our pocket size camera so I just point and shoot.
The desserts look tempting, our host told us all about them....we had other plans for dessert after dinner and you will see....

(Brace yourself!)
After being seated, we were giving menus and our handsome waiter, Bill came over. He was SOOOOOOOO nice! Loved him!!! He asked if we would like a drink from the bar and we did order one....maybe 2....
I order this....
An Island Bahama Mama....and let me tell you, it was good! Love rum! I actually had 2 of these.....
Jon had this thing...
A Cosmo something....I bet there is someone on here that can tell us what it is.
Then we had some bread to come out.....Y'all,I usually pass on the bread, but like Jenn said, it was very yummy and I wanted to try it. There was a sourdough and an onion type roll, 2 each....both were .....mmmmmmmmmm so good! It was served with this garlic olive oil spread....yum! and also with this butter with sea salt...really good.
Since we planned on not getting a dessert, Bill said that we could get a cheese plate right before our main entree and we were like, yeah, bring on the cheese, Bill! And bring us another drink if you don't mind!

Those drinks were getting to my head! I had a empty stomach all afternoon! hehe! I had to slow down!
So, here's the cheese...
Or what's left of it...
Sorry, we started before I could get a picture of it....but here's is halfway through it. Bill gave us a little lesson on cheeses and it was quiet interesting pairing it with the different fruit purees. Really tasty. I like them all...I couldn't remember the names of each one...sorry!
After the cheese, here it came...
Yall have no idea how good this piece of meat was to my soul! This was out of this world!!!! Jon and I both had the filet. Served with some kind of potatoes that had this creamy onion cheesy sauce....oh, to die for! I thought I was gonna run back to NC and slap my mama it was so dang good....
The cup on the side was the braise sauce (?) that is usually served on top. It was quiet good, the color scared me at 1st, but it very flavorful with the steak.
Here's another shot of it....sorry its not clear. I had the "other" camera....it's pocket size and I didn't have my bag with me....
We both had ours cook a high medium, which Bill suggested. Again, I enjoyed this man's service....
BTW, The waitstaff here, they are ALL good at what they do (we have fine dining were I work and it was WAY better, I wish we had those guys working for my company), plus they are all cute with the their little captain's suits on....
We finished and Bill gave Jon a little surprise....
It was like a mini bday cake with a raspberry sauce. There was a candle and a card from the characters too...
We really loved the YSH....We WILL be back for this one folks. If you are planning to go and want to do something really nice for you other half, I would go here! Very nice! I give it a 10! And

So we were done and we left the YC. YC is a pretty resort....very upscale Rhode Island if that makes any sense...pretty....
We headed over to the Beach Club to get Jon's "bday cake." I wanted to do something different and Jon is a ice cream freak, like me! So we put our name on the list here....
So much better than Dairy Queen.....
The cute little girl said that it was going to be at least 20 minutes to sit. We both said it together..."We will wait!" We love some Ice Cream!!!!
We walked along the BC/YC Pool area which looked really fun.....the pool was huge! I wanna go down their slide!
Our pager went a buzzin' and we headed over. You can't make a ressie here folks, its all walk up and wait. It was not a long wait for us, and this was around 730ish....I can see this place busy later on a night for those Broadwalkers....
For Jon's cake....we both got our own very large sundeas..........
Yes, I know, We are into Sundae Worship....
Jon had the No Way Jose...and I had the Mud Slide. Jon's was chocolate ice cream and hot fudge with peanut butter layers....HE LOVED IT! The Mud Slide was excellent.....oreos, hot fudge, vanilla ice cream, and brownie was stuck in their too. Oh, yes, it was mmmmmmmmm so good!
When our sudaes came out, they dimmed the lights and turn on the rotating lights and the whole place sang Happy Birthday to Jon! It was really cool!!!
Okay, I have to stop....more soon. Next up, an very romantic evening at Epcot
