MM Fantasmic Package and Dining Plan Question

I've just booked a late lunch Fantasmic package at Mama Melrose's for our March trip. It will be myself, DH and our son. He's actually 9, but we had him listed as 10 and paid to upgrade him to adult for the free dining package so that he isn't restricted to kids meals at every meal.

For MM though, I know he won't eat off the adult menu. If we get him a kids meal, can we pay OOP for that to save his adult meal credit for a more expensive meal on a different day? Or because it's the fantasmic package, will they require us to each use an adult credit?

You can mix DDP and OOP at the same meal, no problem, and use fewer credits than people listed in your room. I don't see why a Fantasmic! package would be any different, as it's not a dining plan exclusive thing.

because the Fantasmic meal package is a pre-paid meal when not on the plans. If you don't pay ahead I'm not sure how this would get handled.

They will also usually make adult portions of child entrees as well.
