MM and DLR Hotel Stay

In the past, we were always allowed into DL early for Magic Mornings because we have stayed "on property." I have also been told in the past that staying at a DL hotel does not let you in for magic mornings -- but then we were always allowed in to the park early.

Is this still the case? I called DL and was told that a hotel reservation does not include magic mornings, but I would like to know what actually happens so I can make my touring plans accordingly.

Yes that is a onsite hotel perk. Show you room key, from check in to check out day, with park admission and you can join in MMs.

Thanks so much for confirming this. I know it has always worked in the past, but when the CM (on the phone when I make my reservation) tells me otherwise, I always start to worry. Thanks for the updated info.

It's just painful that a CM still doesn't know this. It was so for our first onsite stay in '07 despite it being unadvertised (but when you got there, it was in writing on the info they give the guests), and it's even more official now.

I vote monorail if it's open. I was last at the DLH in November and because of DCA construction, the hours for the monorail were later during the week (I think 10am), but it was definitely open for MM on Sat/Sun.

For guests staying at the DLH or PPH can you take the monorail?
You may use the monorail to enter the park for MM; however it is usually a better option to walk through DTD and use the main entrance. The monorail sometimes beats the front gate crowds. Sometimes not. It's a toss up. Use the monorail more for at the end of the day when your feet are tired and you don't feel like walking all the way back to the hotel.
