Yes, I agree with all this. But I think they COULD figure out a way to link guest passes to a room reservation. If they wanted to. Or to link a guest pass to a particular person who then, in turn, was linked to an on-site room reservation. They have no real motivation to do anything though. It is frustrating to have the 7 day window for me and my husband but not my son.
I also got into a long back and forth about
DAS and the guest passes. They HAVE a work around for needing to call EVERY DAY to have the (already approved!) DAS linked to a guest pass. They did it for me in February, before the changes, and they still do it NOW, for ticketless kids under 3. They assign a card to the DAS person, not to a park ticket, and you use that to book DAS, it is linked to a person with a photo, and lasts 120 days. I still have my son's card from February, they wrote on the back "Sean DAS" and it was on my
MDE app. Now they say they won't do that anymore, and I need to call daily. (yes I remember getting it daily at the Park, which took a few minutes, the daily calls may take much longer?)
All in all, I am VERY grateful for my MEP in my retirement, of course. I just hate this 7 day vs. 3 day thing. At least at DL we are on an even playing field with other guests with multi pass.
