This is for those planning in the upcoming weeks. Went yesterday with wife, DD 3 and DD 6 months. It was definately busier than last year. It didn't help the park opened at 9am instead of 8am. People were lined up outside of the security gates for the rope drop show as the court-yard was full. We still managed to get lots done. Let me know if you have any questions. Here is what we did in order:
Pooh
Speedway
Teacups
Meet Ariel
Meet Daisy, Minnie, Goofy, Donald
Barnstormer
Dumbo
Little Mermaid
Small World
Peter Pan - FP+
Lunch
Philharmagic
Seven Dwarfs FP
Carousel
Magic Carpets
Tiki Room
FOF Parade
Jungle Cruise FP+
Dream Along with Mickey
Meet Tinkerbell - nobody in line
Move It, Shake It
Dinner
People Mover
Meet Buzz
Buzz Ranger Spin 4th FP+
Seven Dwarfs Rider Swap
Pooh 5th FP+
Dumbo 6th FP+
Teacups 7th FP+

Nice, how did your 3 year old do with rides? My DS will be going for the first time this December and he will be 2 and a half! The most we have taken him to is the aquarium so I'm not entirely sure how he will react to a theme park... Did you take a break in between?

Would you mind sharing if you thought it was worth going to rope drop with your toddler? We are going in May and Im wondering how much waiting around there will be and how much my daughter will really be able to see if there is a big crowd.

@Candycane83 I'm not the original poster but I took my daughter to MK last April when she was 2.5 and she loved pretty much everything! She even loved the Haunted Mansion! I expected her to be a little frightened of the dark rides but she was totally engrossed. Obviously we did not go on Splash or Space Mountain or any of the other ones suited for older kids but I was very pleasantly surprised how much she was able to do at that young age. It also helped she was on the tall side so we had no issues with height restrictions on anything she wanted to do.

She loved them all. No break, but she was tired by then end. We did Tiki Room and then got a parade spot around 2:20pm and got her a Dole Whip, so she had a break of sorts for almost 1.5 hours.

100% worth it. We got on the ferry around 8:10 and were in the courtyard just after 8:30am. We went for lunch at 11:45, so the list above is a great indication of how much can be done at Rope Drop. It felt like we were one step ahead of the crowds all morning.

@StefR @buyerbrad Thanks so much! I'm nervous since it will be the first time we're going on a vacation for a long trip! I hope my son will be as great as your daughters! Sounded like you both had really great trips! I have my fingers crossed. (and this way my DH would not object to another trip in the future :P)

100% agreed on skipping the mountains. I get more enjoyment watching her ride a "minor/lesser" ride versus standing there entertaining her during the middle of the day while somebody does a Mountain for a Parent/Rider Swap later.

I went to MK with a toddler in a less busy time and no way got that much done. Great work! 7 Fast passes .. bravo!

How is that even possible with a stroller, naps, diaper changes, long meals and potty breaks??

I too would like to know your secrets :) We are hoping to get quite a bit done, and also fit in some character meets. We are traveling end of April with a 2.5 year old and 4 month old. We will have a double stroller but I also baby wear so hoping to be able to ditch the stroller in a parking area for a couple of hours at a time... how did you do it?!

We are also planning to go back to the room around 1:30 every day for a nap/rest and head back to the parks at night. Not taking Disney busses from the hotel though, we like having our car!

I put a lot of time into the planning, so I'm happy it worked. Our DD almost 3 has been 100% potty trained for a long time, so that definately helped.

We rode Pooh as a family, and then my wife fed DD 6 months while I took my DD3 on Speedway and Teacups. DD 6 months at during this time, lunch, waiting for the parade, waiting for Move It, Shake It and at dinner.

We got into the Ariel line right before the wait started to build, so that helped with timing. Pete's opened at 10am (with a 9am opening), so we were one of the first in line. We were prepared to skip Smallworld if needed, but the line was still only 10-15 mins.

We got lucky with Tinkerbell. We had made it our 4th FP+ after Jungle Cruise and were planning on meeting Mickey. However, the Mickey line was long, so we jumped into the Tinkerbell line and switched out 4th FP+

For FP+ 5-7 we just booked single FP+ to maximize the amount of rides our DD3 could do.

We had a double stroller where DD almost 3 had the option to sit or stand, while DD 6 months was still in her car seat attachment.

My stroller has 2 seats and a glider board. I can take one seat off and just attach the carseat. How did your little one feel about the car seat vs. a regular stroller seat?

She was still too little for the regular stroller seat, but it did make sitting for my DD 3 a little awkward.
