Can anyone help me find the time for Fireworks for the week of October 17th?
I'm having trouble finding a schedule?

Hers a link to the travel agent calendar, which is generally considered the most up-to-date and accurate http://media.disneywebcontent.com/staticfiles/parkhours/wdwtravelagent_october.pdf
Looks like you have a Wishes on Monday 17th, but nothing on 19th and Mickeys Hallowen Party on 18 and 20. Party day means that closing hours for day guests is 7pm, no fireworks. If you want to go to the party, there are special Hallowishes fireworks those days. It's strange that park hours are til 8pm and fireworks are listed as none on 19th, because usually non-party days do have later closings and fireworks. We can hope the schedule expands as the date draws nearer.

Likely there will be Fireworks on both Monday, October 17th and Wednesday, October 19th. For some reason the operating schedule doesn't have them listed that Wednesday night, but my guess is that is an error. There won't be Wishes Fireworks on the 18th, 20th, or 21st because the park closes for MNSSHP. The time is listed as 10:00 p.m. Here's a link to the most current operating hours:

Thank you for the calendar link!!
Do they ever do Wishes at 9pm?

It varies by time of the year and when the park closes. As @Mikie said (as I was writing my post...jinx lol) because of MNSSHP they usually extend the park hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays in October, so I would guess that Wishes will be at 10:00 p.m. during that time. Currently on Wednesday the 19th it's showing an 8pm close with an EMH...not sure what that will end up being, but I bet it will change....hopefully it's not missing that night so they can add in one of their new $150 night events...not sure those are continuing past the summer though!

I was debating on making myself crazy trying to book Cali Grill to see Wishes on Wed. night. I have 2 boys (ages 3 & 6) and I'm not convinced its worth forcing them to stay up for a nice dining experience followed by fireworks at 10pm! I think they might have meltdowns haha!
We've done the Cali Grill/Fireworks in the past and it feels like a 'can't skip', but I'm not sure its going to work like my memory of it!

Everything is variable with little ones, depending on the day, their mood, and a billion other factors, but when my kids were those ages, I really felt that fireworks were a must, so I planned it! One child was cranky and tired and didn't fully melt down but didn't really enjoy it. The other fell asleep and just made it challenging to get on and off the bus! We just watched in the park crowd - you may have better luck at a nice dinner ;)

Thank you! I'll try to get Cali Grille then and see if we can keep them awake! We're going to take a day off from the parks the next day, so everyone can recoup. I'm hoping I can book Cali Grill. My ADR's have been very difficult to get so far. We're staying offsite in a house, because there are 7 of us. I'm in charge of the restaurants, so it's been fun waking up and trying to score them and they're already booked. Oh well, I'll keep trying and I appreciate your encouragement!

You can see (and hear) them at 'Ohana at the Poly, at Trader Sam's and Trader Sam's outdoor patio at the Poly, Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian,
and (if you have access there) the Top of the World at Bay Lake Tower.

The Beach at the Polynesian Resort offers a great view

of Wishes and other MK Fireworks shows.

However, the area with an MK view is now much smaller than it used to be

due to the recent construction of the new DVC on-the-water rooms.

They do "pipe in" the audio of the shows, but it is very, very low in volume.

There are several ground-level speakers along the

sidewalk.

They also pipe the audio to the speakers at the Poly pool.

The audio level if better in some places (closer to the sidewalk, for instance) than others (far out on the beach, for instance.)

I marked the area still open with a green arrow and the word "Beach" on the Poly map.

More Viewing Spots-

You can see the MK fireworks shows very well from the TTC

(and they pipe-in clear, crisp audio from the show.)

Note: you are not allowed to stand directly in the actual Ferry loading area.

You can see them from the boat-dock and an outside

observation deck near Narcoossee's restaurant at the Grand Floridian. There is soon to be a paid "Wishes Dessert Party" that will be held on that boat dock.

The Narcoossee's Deck shown is now reserved only for guests of the restaurant.

Also, good viewing from the Patio overlooking the Marina.

The sound of the show is piped into these areas too.

At the Contemporary, there is viewing on an outdoor

observation area on the 4th floor.

The California Grill observation areas are reserved for patrons that day of the Grill or Bar.

At Wilderness Lodge, the "secret place" to watch the MK fireworks is from the northern area of the Cast Member (CM) Parking Lot.

At the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds Marina (angle shown on the map below,) some of the view (especially of the "Fantasyland" pyro) is blocked by the now unused Discovery Island in Bay Lake and by the high-rise buildings of the Contemporary Resort.

But, the view from the Ft. Wilderness' sand beach (farther north) is more open.

Still the tree-level can block the views of the lower-firing pyro.

Here are the angles of the views in the Bay Lake area.

I noticed the TA Calendar and the Disney Calendar don't match for MK on Oct 19. Both have MK closing at 8 which is odd in itself but TA only has a 1 hour PM EMH and Disney shows a 2 hour PM EMH from 8-10pm. I think it would be BS if there is no Wishes that night with all the MNNSHP dates it kind of restricts us to what days we'd have a chance to see Wishes and figure that would be one of them.

That's just a "typo" on the TA calendar.
If PM EMH was actually going to be only one hour, the listing would be "Magic Kingdom PM (1)"

@Robo - those maps are amazing!

@Duck143 - I wonder if the beach at the Poly would be a better place with the kids -- I think about mine at that age and if she was tired and cranky, we would have the attention of the entire restaurant for sure!

I feel like last year in October on Wednesdays with EMH the park was open until 10 pm (wishes at 10 pm) and then the EMH was 2 hours till Midnight...I was initially using the 2015 crowd calendars to plan our 2016 trip and had considered hopping over to the late night EMHs on a Wednesday in order to see MSEP (but avoid the crowds during the day because of the limited nights that MK is open past 7 in October for non-party guests).

It is FAR too early to judge the final schedule for hours in Oct.
Every month... every single month... for years, now, Disney has extended hours and added evening events (sometimes more than once) to the early-posted calendar times.
These changes usually happen between 14 and 45 days before the actual dates.

They don't add EVERY night, but they do add to many of them.
Stay tuned.
