MK which day?

We are taking a quick trip with my niece 9/27-10/1 but only doing the parks two days. The first and last day are our travel days so no parks those days and we are not purchasing party tickets. Which day would be best to hit MK? We do not need to see the fireworks so my thinking was on Friday 9/28 and then hop over to Epcot at night. Is this the best day?

I think so. As long as as you don't want to stay in the evening, it's a great choice because the crowd level will be lower. (Many people not going to the party will avoid MK due to the early close.) Plus (if you're staying on property) it is an EMH morning as well!

Great this is exactly what I was thinking regarding crowds. We do plan on taking advantage of the EMH and then going to EPCOT most likely. I am worried that EPCOT will be a little nuts due to F&W but we weren't going to do many of the booths just see Illuminations and maybe do a single rider Test Track.

If you don't mind not getting to see Happily Ever After and can definitely make it to the early EMH hours, yes, I'd pick 9/28.

Yes, we're going to try and see them from the top of the world lounge but we asked my niece to pick between illuminations and happily ever after and she picked illuminations (which made me happy). We'll be back in Feb '19 for a week so we'll hopefully hit all the shows then.
