I just called Disney to see how much a VIP TOUR COST.
For our date No discounts
$700 per hour so for 7 hours $4900 plus tip plus the cost of our daily tickets.
HAS ANYONE EVER DONE THIS VIP TOUR AND
IS IT WORTH IT ??

VIP tours are amazing. BUT with the new premier pass it depends a bit on what you are looking for and who your guide is.

Benefits to VIP tours:
1. they will pick you up/drop you off from your hotel, if you desire, and you enter from backstage (obviously this cuts into tour time but it can be worth it under certain circumstances and it’s an experience you can’t replicate on your own)
2. you can repeat rides - this is the most significant one in my view
3. occasional “magical moment” ride access (though never guaranteed, you are only guaranteed to go through the LL)
4. reserved seating for parades, fireworks, and shows
5. they *may* still have ways to cut the lines for characters now that there are no more LLs. My daughter has outgrown characters but back when she was still interested we’d still wait in the LL but she would get extra time with the princesses as part of the tour.
6. takes all of the stress out of your day
7. if you get a good guide they can be AMAZING.

Unfortunately for us it’s very hard to justify the extra expense anymore, especially as we have done it a couple of times and PP now gets us most of what we want. But we have absolutely no regrets for having done them.

I know one family who refuses to visit Disney without a VIP tour. They would absolutely change their dates to accommodate the tour availability. So yes, I think it's worth it.

But if you have a small party and only want to see MK, a combination of Premier, Multi, and Single Passes would be more economical.

We did a 7-hour VIP tour last October (our tour guide was Tommy, we love him very much). We were a party of 9 and did all the parks. I would definitely repeat that. It was a wonderful day and we accomplished a lot.

Having said that, I would definitely optimize a few things:
1) select a date with a lower price/hour. Sat/Sun/Mon are more expensive than Tue/Wed
2) make sure you have the money available
3) find your set of rides that is worth it (avoid Tea Cups and Dumbo)
4) be aware that certain rides cannot be used more than once! (e.g. Tron)
5) be aware that you will mostly enter through Lightning Lane which means sometimes you merge quite early with the rest of people

Bit of a hijack, I apologize.

Do VIP tours have access to new shows and parades? I am wondering about the Little Mermaid show, Villains show and nighttime parade this summer.
I originally was leaning towards LLPP for DHS and possibly MK. We will be CL at WL, so 20% off makes VIP enter my radar.
My biggest issue is we are midday break people...

Yes they do. However, it may not be the best use of your time/money. You will get access to the Lightning Lane entrance, so you can get there quite late, but you will probably loose 40-50 minutes of your time in comparison to 5-10 minutes for other rides.

A midday break would be a paid break for the VIP tour guide. You would most likely also need to take more than the 7 hour minimum in order to do everything you want to do.

If you are at the parks for more than one day, I would suggest you use early entry for MK to get your headliner attractions and then use LLPP for HS on one day to get everything done on one afternoon.

Highest price for LLPP at HS is 349 pp. Only if you are more than 7 people a VIP tour makes financial sense.
