While I don't expect to have a view of MK from my room, I'm curious if you can see MK from the grounds of the WL. I can just imagine myself with an early cup of coffe sitting on a bench somewhere on the WL property enjoying the great view. What a way to start the day.

No, you won't be able to see the MK anywhere from the public areas of the WL. But you can sit in the lobby or out by the pool - it's so peaceful and pretty early in the morning.

There are some rooms on the North side of the WL on the upper floors that offer a glimpse of the castle, but there is no category for a MK view at the WL. In fact, these rooms are considered woods/lodge view.

Here are some pics I took very early one morning - maybe 6am. Not many people were around.

Beautiful pictures scanne! I can't wait to stay here next month! Last time we got a wood's view room, we were lucky enough to see the castle through the trees. I have heard that with the growing trees, "castle view" rooms are becoming non-existant. I will be sure to request the North side, upper floors when we go. We may not get it but it's worth a shot!

There are some rooms that are lucky to have a slight view of the castle through some trees. That's about as much of the MK I think you will see from WL.

Actually, we had a view of the castle (and fireworks), monorail, and Contemporary from our balcony. To me, it was like getting an upgrade, even tho we were already in WL concierge!

The WL will not sell a "MK" view room because it's hit or miss. Only certain rooms may have the view, but there are so many trees that a room you might have one year with that view may not have the same view the following year due to the growth of the trees.

We were upgraded to a "MK" view back in 2005. We'd booked standard view, and when we checked in, the CM said "You'll like this room!" :)

Well, we did! I didn't realize you could see the train station & castle from the rooms on the north side of the lodge. I'd lie in bed at night and just watch the castle change colors. Plus, we liked watching the otters in the pond early in the morning.

For the OP, you may want to request a room with a MK view. Maybe you'll get one, maybe not, but you you can always ask!

Wow! I didn't know you could see the train station too! How neat!
