MK View from the Poly

Hi!

I stayed at the Poly a couple of years ago and noticed from the beach area that the trees across the lagoon seems to block a good majority of the MK view. Are there actual rooms that arent looking at the trees, or when they say MK view, are they talking about the tiny top of the castle?

I was thinking of an MK view at the Contemporary for a future trip, but if the Poly does indeed have a nice view, I might rethink my plan!

Tuvalu is a great longhouse for MK view! We upgraded my parents last year to MK view and Tuvalu is essentially right on the water with no beach in front of the resort. The view from their balcony for Wishes was amazing! My sister and I were staying in Fiji, so a couple nights we crashed their hotel room for Wishes!!

If you want the best MK view from your room, you need to be at the Contemporary. We had one of those last March and we canceled Le Cellier to go back to the room and watch the fireworks. We could also hear the music and see the Water Pageant. We could also see the top of Splash Mountain and it was like Space Mountain was in our front yard.

We had MK view from our Poly room this past November and it was disappointing, especially when compared to the view from the Contemporary. I have vowed I won't spend money on a MKV room again at the Poly. I'll stay at the Poly, but I'll just take a regular room.

Here are a couple of photos from our room in Tuvalu (3rd floor). Yes, the distance is further than from the Contemporary because the Poly is further away from MK. And keep in mind that TPV isn't exclusively the castle, even though that is what most people have in mind.

Obviously, you can't move the island, but we enjoy the view of the MK, GF, and CR just as much as simply looking at the Castle (which is especially lovely at night). The photos are zoomed but show how much of the castle is visible. As others will undoubtedly say, CR likely has the most magnificent TPV rooms (we have never stayed there - just based on photos I've seen), but I wouldn't trade my TPV room in Tuvalu for anything...we fell in love with the Poly based on many factors (not just the view).

I'm sure no matter where you stay, it will be magnificent!
