We have added a park day to the end of our vacation () and we are are going to be visiting MK on this day. Where should we eat? We tried CP breakfast on our last trip, and would like to try something different this time around.

I had reservations for Cape May breakfast on this day, but I think I will be cancelling those as this day has morning EMH at MK which we will take advantage of. I'm thinking The Plaza might be worth a try. Or maybe we should give CM's a try (I realize CMs isn't in the MK. I just checked and we can get a 10:30 reservation)?

Please help me decide.

Thanks!

The Plaza is okay, but nothing special. I'm not going back, I'd do quick service before that - not worth the price, IMO.

I'd suggest LTT for LUNCH if you want to maximize your time in the park without leaving it. (and just grab something quick for breakfast at your resort) I like the food choices there. (Pot Roast - yum, yum!)

If sticking to a monorail/boat resort - I'd suggest considering the Grand Floridian Cafe or Kona Cafe. You can get to the Wilderness Lodge via boat if you want to try the Whispering Canyon Cafe. I've been thrilled with meals at all three of those places. We enjoy the break from the crowds in the middle of the day by going to one of these places. We take the ferry - gives us a break from the crowds. Does take more time than staying in the park, though.

I agree with PP that Liberty Tree Tavern is a good choice for a TS lunch. And while I know you said table service, but we have always enjoyed Columbia Harbour House as well.

Another person in agreement here... Liberty Tree in MK for lunch! Pilgrim's Feast is a mere $15 and easily shareable between two people - TONS of food. I say it's worth the price to not be fighting for tables and condiments at counter-service places. :goodvibes

And when you walk out, as stuffed as a Thanksgiving turkey, Hall of Presidents is practically right across from it for a calm place to let your food settle (or nap, as some people may do) before trekking across the park for any more thrilling attractions. :thumbsup2

I am not a big fan of the TS restaurants at MK. If it were me, I'd head to the Poly which is close by and eat at O'hana. DELICIOUS!

Columbia Harbor House has the feel of a TS more than a CS place (especially when sitting upstairs). And everything we've had there has been wonderful. We also love LTT for TS, so that may be your best bet for staying in the park. Congrats on scoring an additional day of fun!:thumbsup2

I agree - LTT is a must for us but Tony's is a good TS too! Columbia Harbor House is the best CS by far!

I would disagree with the earlier post re Plaza Restaurant. That's our family's favorite restaurant in MK and is very reasonably priced if you are paying out of pocket - perhaps $4-5 a person more than counter service but substantially less than the other table service places. If on the dining plan I second 'Ohana (or perhaps Kona) for dinner, both at the Polynesian. If you are asking about breakfast, 'Ohana also has a character breakfast that is well regarded. Check allears.net for menus/reviews for the character meals. I don't believe Plaza serves breakfast.

We are fans of The Plaza as well - can get a fresh meal and sit down for awhile, i really like their tuna salad, the ice cream/shakes are also very good.
