MK Table Service recommendations?

Skippers is the one and there's no other comparison at mk but you're gonna want to keep your expectations in check. When it gets busy it can be hit or miss. You might show up 10 minutes before your reservation time and still wait 20 minutes to get seated. The noodles and whole fried fish are going to be the most reliable things imo, while the char siu and chachapas can be either really good or just ok. It just helps I think to go in there knowing it's the best of the rest at mk but mk is just kind of weak on food in general.
Funny that you say this because this was my exact experience eating at Jungle Skipper in early-mid May. When I checked in and got the notification that my table was ready, I STILL waited 20 minutes to be seated. And yet people with later reservations and walks up were seated before us. They straight up forgot about us until I asked the hostess what was up. I ordered the short rib and it was meh. Nothing special. But it is better than any of the other Magic Kingdom table service restaurants hands down in terms of food quality. That's not really saying a lot since MK is the worst park food wise.

It's been a few years for me. On property guests can't book ADRs 6 months in advance anymore? What the heck???

Are there any pre-park opening breakfast reservations allowed in MK anymore?
Nope. It's 60 days. On property guest can do 60 days plus length of stay up to 10 days.

CRT opens at 8 am but as expensive as that is, it's really not getting you in any earlier. On property guests are allowed access 30 minutes before normal opening.

WDW is a different world post-COVID. Anyone who was familiar with it before, will find a steep learning curve planning a new trip.

CRT does. We had an 8:00 breakfast there in November. Tasty too. Food there is somewhat better than it used to be.

That's the only TS place doing breakfast as yet, I think, unless somewhere else has begun since then.

BOG quit doing QS breakfast and lunch. It's now only a prix fixe menu.

I really enjoyed my breakfast there last year. The pastries, the beef tenderloin, excellent service, coffee/tea/juice/milk included. At $42 for big kids and $27 for little ones, and when factoring in the unique ambiance and early entry to the park (esp if not staying on property), I would say without question its the best deal at mk foodwise.

Skipper Canteen has become my favorite in MK and is a nice place for lunch. The fried chicken is delicious!
For dinner, I'd still do BOG mostly for the atmosphere (although food is good as well).

LTT is my family's favorite. As someone mentioned, it is a lot of heavy food, but it's SO good. We go every trip.

We do Liberty Tree EVERY trip, sometimes twice, lol. Just went back to CP after a few years break, and it was suprisingly very good--plus just being in that building is awesome.

How long is your trip?

I would simply leave Magic Kingdom, go to Capt Cooks at Poly and have lunch there. Otherwise I would do Casey's Corner inside of MK.

MK is by far the worst park to get food in IMO.

You could walk all the way to Poly, have lunch, and walk all the way back before you get done with a sit down meal likely. Just waiting to be seated could take a little while you never know. Flip side going to some place like Casey's or Cooks you can mobile order but with Casey's you might need to take your food elsewhere if there is no seating.

You can do a sit down dinner somewhere after the park closes to day guests.
If you're going to leave, Gasparilla at Grand Floridian has great QS, more indoor seating than Cook's, and is closer than Poly if you decide to walk. If it's 90+ degrees, I'd definitely take the boat or monorail instead of walking.

We would definitely use monorail, but honestly I don't know if we will have it in us to walk back to the front. The 6pm closing kinda making us wavier.

So MK will be our first park day. It will be August and it's gonna be hot (we come from where a hot day is 90 degrees little humidity). So a mid day break inside with seating and AC is gonna be a must. I was gonna take the monorail and check out some places but realized that it's a halloween evening and MK closes early so I don't want to waste that kinda time.
Long story short looking for which table service you enjoyed the most. Also we are Not looking to do Be Our Guest or Cinderella’s Royal table. TIA
I love the atmosphere at many of the table service MK restaurants but most of the food at MK is hit or miss for us and never consistently good. We like most of them but dining with an ADR will eat a good bit of time in your day. Especially if you have to wait and aren't seated right away. Crystal Palace is good and so is Liberty Tree Tavern since they have more basic menus. Just a heads up though, it's a lot of food and could be a waste if you're not big eaters.

The Plaza is also good since you can end your meal with a yummy dessert/shake. Skipper Canteen is good but it's a limited menu and doesn't always appeal to all. Tony's is also hit or miss but has nice atmosphere. If you decide to do QS, Pecos Bills, and Pinocchio Village Haus and Columbia Harbour House all have indoor seating so those are always good options for when you're hot and hungry. Only cruddy thing is with mobile dining, sometimes they station a CM out front and they won't let you in until your food is ready so you're stuck outside waiting.

We like doing late lunches at Liberty Tree and Skipper Canteen. We're hungrier by then and it's a nice cool break during the hottest, busiest time of the day.

We also like that Skipper Canteen is a bit cheaper and has a 10% Disney Visa discount.

Don't do it? Seriously MK has the weakest TS and QS of any park. If yo really want to do TS at MK, then I would look at LTT or Skippers Canteen. BoG is good if you really want to see the castle. But there are SO many better options outside of MK.
