MK--Sunday or Monday

Still trying to "tweek" my schedule for our first trip to WDW late Feb. Which tends to be the more crowded day at MK, Sunday or Monday. Our original plan was to go to AK on Sunday, and go to MK on Monday(Iguess I was thinking to avoid MK altogether on the weekend). That Monday that we would be going will also be one week after president's day, so I thought maybe people that had been at WDW for the whole week of pres day would be going home over the weekend. But I am reading in another post that Mondays at MK are busy. Oh, what to do...any suggestions??

I've always heard that Sundays and Wednesdays are the slowest days for MK.

I'm headed to WDW the same time. I have read on posts that ESPN weekend is the 26-27 at MGM and there is some kind of "Singabration" at WDW that weekend too. I think we are going to go to AK on Saturday (EMH morning) and then go to EPCOT on Sunday and MK on Monday. The Singabration will be at MK on Sunday, I think, but I'm not sure. I need to do more research on it. If anyone has any info, please share.

Well I just read to avoid MK on Mondays because most people arrive on a Sunday and the first full day they want to spend at MK. So I would think with Sunday being a big travel day that would be your best bet. It is hard to say though because any special event going on would change all of this.

Many people usually say to go on Sunday. But that's if nothing special is going on that weekend.

Don't most people arrive on a Saturday, thus a Sunday would be the busiest. Therefore, wouldn't Monday be the best

I disagree completely (except for most people arriving on Saturday, which is true). We usually hold off going to MK until Tuesday. That day seems to be slow. With one exception! If the weather is miserable the Monday before you can bet your sweet sneakers that the MK will be packed on Tuesday. This is called the "Weather Carry-Over Phenomena"!!! You see, the people that were going to go to MK on Monday don't go because the weather is lousy. So the Monday people go on Tuesday. The problem is the Tuesday people still go on Tuesday. Thus, you get double the crowd level. This happened to us last year. The MK was packed on Tuesday. In fact, I think they closed the park because it was filled to capacity. I believe this was Tuesday, May 4th. On Monday, May 3rd it rained all day. The parks were empty. On Tuesday the parks were packed!
