Hi all, me & my h2b are in the earlyish stages of planning our wedding and I've seen a few posts on the MK photo shoot, so I have a few questions for those who have either done it or are planning it.

These might be stupid questions I know but just humour me, lol

1) how does it work?
2) when can you do it, is there particular times?

also if anyone has already done it, please share your experience, it is something I think I'd like to do. Many thanks :)

1. You book the photoshoot with Disney Photography, they will let you know about what dates and times are available around your wedding date. The photographer and his assistant picked us up from our hotel at 6am and drove us backstage into the MK. It takes about an hour to take pics then they leave you back at your hotel.

2. MK shoots are done early in the morning prior to MK opening to the public. I believe the times were just changed recently to a bit later in the morning. My MK shoot was at 6am.

We had a blast on our shoot. My DH was skeptical about the shoot because it costs so much but he actually enjoyed it more than I thought he would. He loved being at MK when it was empty. It's really cool to see the activity and all the work that gets done so early in the morning. I was very happy with our pictures, I did not buy the High resolution CD because it was just too expensive but we will buy it after 3 yrs at a discounted price. We only have the album (which I have yet to even pick my pictures yet, lol, I should get on that).

I am planing on doing a MK shoot in december. Everyone says that the DVD is expensive to buy. What is the price of it? (am I going to be shocked)

Are you having an escape or wishes wedding?

It's $750 normally but I've heard if you give up the albums included from the escape ceremony and mk shoot it may drop to $350.

if your wedding is this december your photo shoot start time will likely be 7.30am. I'm a bit unsure whether or not to cancel mine as 7.30am in September it will be all in daylight. I like the night shots with the castle lit up :(

I am having an escape (or trying to, lol! - we are penciled in). I am going to probably be using an outside photographer for the wedding and I was not really impressed with the number of included pictures in the escape package. Something to think about, thanks!!

We had our MK/EPCOT shoot the morning of our wedding, we were also picked up at 6 AM. It was an amazing experience that both myself and my husband enjoyed very much, we had so much fun and LOVED our pictures...they turned out so fantastic. It was really important to me to have the DVD and has worked out great so far - I printed photo books for my family as well as put up a ton of pics around my house...the DVD was $750 but again, I found it to be worth it...not to say it isn't expensive, but to me it had value for the $$ spent!

There are a ton on photos in my trip report, linked in my signature...

We did our MK shoot the morning after our wedding and our session was at 6:00. It was a lot of money, but it's something we'll remember as a very special opportunity that we were able to share together. Plus, we just had such a great time! Our photographer was so much fun and we were actually able to go to a couple other places in the park since we were the only shoot that morning.

We bought the CD immediately after the shoot - I don't have the patience to wait 3 years and I wanted to start enjoying all of the pictures now. Like daisygirl, I made photobooks for us and our family and enjoying looking at all of pictures hanging up around the house.

I think my CD was $350. I didn't get any albums, either, just a spiral flushmount of the thumnails and boxes of the proofs. I think the CD was worth it.
