I just booked our MK bridal shoot for our wedding this coming November. Of course the only time I could get was the 5:00am timeslot. Our wedding is November 10 and the shoot is for November 11. There was also a 5:00 shoot available on the 12 and then the rest of the week was booked and they are not doing shoots the following week because there are rehearsals going on for a show.

Checking the calendar, sunrise is at 6:45 that morning. Will we be able to get ANY pictures that look like daytime? They said they would be picking us up at 5:00 and we would get to the MK by 5:15 and be there one hour. Unfortunately I can picture them rushing us through as there is another shoot after our.

Per recommendations on these boards, I also requested Ty. I believe that is correct. I am trying to remember who Summer had - I'll have to check out her thread.

Thanks,
Linda

I believe Summer had Paul. I requested Ty, but we ended up with Paul. He was wonderful! I can give you the link to the pictures if you'd like!

Yes, I think you are right. I will call back and see if I can switch.

I would love to see your photos. I can send you a pm.

Thanks,
Linda

Thanks, your photos are just beautiful.

My concern is that our shoot is at 5:00 and sunrise is not until 6:45 (someone already has the 6:00 shoot). I do not want to get all night photos. I love the photos of sunrise.

Anyone else have the 5:00 timeslot and how did your photos come out.

Thanks,
Linda

Linda ours was at 5am-- i would say other than a picture or 2 they were night shoots, but we were June--

We had Ty... he is nice, our pictures came out good.

I think I read Paul is not with Disney any more.

Thanks, I guess they will all be night shots. Maybe we can try to stick around for one or two sunrise shots.

So far the MK Photoshoot, how exactly does it work? Are the only times available 5 and 6 am? I hate the idea of getting up that early the next day after the wedding, but the pictures are soooooo beautiful! And how does everyone do it as far as hair and make-up? Do you get it done all over again for the shoot, or just do it yourself?

I also have my MK shoot booked for 5 am the day after the wedding. Its going to be hard to get up and knowing they are coming to my room at 3:30 am for hair makes it even harder...lol

When does the sunrise in April? How do I find that out? I know the night shot but would like some with sunrise.

You don't have to do it the day after your wedding, and I wouldn't recommend it. You can do it any time during your stay. The only times are 5am and 6am. I did my own hair and makeup because, at that time, they were not taking any closeups so you couldn't even see it! Nowadays they take more mid-range and closeup shots. Some makeup artists won't come out that early, and some charge extra, but there are those who will do it.

Just put your date in this calculator:

We did ours two days after our wedding and I highly recommend that! I was too tired the following day by getting up at 9 am :lmao: I had Lisa from Lisa's Magical Wedding come out at 4 am for a 5 am shoot. We did have a bunch of close up & mid range photos so to me it was worth it. We got to the park right at 5. Depending on what you are looking for, you can ask to do the castle photos last if you want to get the most light. By the time we left, we had pictures with light similar to Keira. So the time change will obviously be different, but by the time you are close to the end, you should get some daylight ones

Hmmm... could be something to do with park hours or the time of year, but you might want to double check with Disney Photographic to make sure it's not a typo in your BEO.

My planner has also confirmed it twice via email. Maybe it is the park hours that time of year.

We had our shoot at 5am (in August) also, and they are almost all night shots...unfortunately...we couldn't get a 6am time slot. It did stink getting up so early, but we decided it was worth it...

My MOH came to our room and did my hair (which I think turned out better than when I had it done for the ceremony) at 4am! She is such a doll! I did my own makeup both times...

We are still planning on doing the 5:00 am but we are definately heading back to WDW in May of next year so we might reschedule it for then just so we could get some sunrise shots.

As far as my hair goes, for the past few years I have been purchasing those ponytail holders with hair - for some of those Bad Hair Days - and they work great. While looking for my tiara - I would put a loose ponytail on top of my head and wind the holder with the hair around it. It looks amazing and almost looks like it was professional done. I just purchased a new one the other day that matches my hair exactially. I am not going to use it until the day of the shoot - they do start getting messy when you use them for awhile. That is, unless we just don't go to sleep from the day of the wedding and somehow my hair stays fine.
