MK plans help please

HI all, I would love any input!

We have one day for MK.
May 12th (Thursday)
crowd level of 5 (as per easywdw)
2 adults, 3 teenagers, and 2 littles (3 and 5 years old)
hours 9am-11pm no EMH

We plan on staying all day at the park.

8:05am reservation Crystal Palace (Our goal is to be walking out by 8:45a)

Splash mountain
It’s a small word
Pooh
Dumbo
Barnstormer
Little Mermaid
Mickeys Philharmagic
Country Bear Jamboree (what time do you think it will be after we do this?)

Break for snack (dole whip) or CHH

3pm Festival of Fantasy Parade (not a must do)

6:30pm Plaza reservation

Buzz (if not here than after wishes)

if this is the order you are doing things you will be doing a lot of extra walking but if you change it so you are not walking back and forth I think it could work I would also get your spot for wishes right after your dinner reservation a lot of people watch MSEP and stay for wishes so you may have a hard time finding a spot if you want main street

You are doing a lot of criss-crossing for random rides and that takes up a LOT of time. IMHO, no way would I walk all the way from PP to Splash and then back to small world. Are you planning on getting any FP+?

I would reorder it to the following, keeping in mind you can stop for your snack, parade, Plaza and Wishes wherever you are in the order, or rearrange a bit, in whichever land you are in, to accommodate your FP+ times:

(take out Splash mountain - that's a huge trek for one ride, only to then walk back to Fantasyland)
It’s a small word
Pooh
7DMT (try to get a FP+ for the morning)
Dumbo
Barnstormer
Little Mermaid
Mickeys Philharmagic

We can't pick up our tickets until we get to Disney. So I won't be able to make Fastpass reservations until 4 days before. Unfortunately any of the high demand stuff will most likely be gone. SO I have to plan the best I can.

I think you'll be able to get FP+ for Splash Mountain and for Space Mountain. 7 Dwarfs Mine Train will be the tough one to get. If you can't get it, I would probably recommend Pirates or Haunted Mansion (or better yet, Big Thunder, if you plan to better it).

I agree entirely with the suggestion to leave Splash Mountain for later in the day (with FP+) rather than trekking all the way over there from Fantasyland and then back to Fantasyland again.

Doing Peter Pan first is an excellent plan, but I would then do Pooh next. Lines can build for it fast, compared to It's a Small World, so I think it's worth some extra walking to scoot over to it right after Peter Pan. You could then go to Dumbo, Barnstormer, and Little Mermaid, before looping back to It's a Small World.

Mickey's PhilharMagic is not to be missed (in my opinion), but you could do it any time of day with little wait, so it is a good one for the afternnon when crowds are the heaviest. So you might do it along with the Tomorrowland attractions as it isn't all that far away from them.

Overall, I think you have a good plan.

I would say your rushing through breakfast at lightspeed. Why? The early ADR is an advantage to be in the MK with very little crowds..........I would exploit that..........with a photo in front of the castle while walking down Main St.

Why book a character meal if you're in such a hurry? If you have anyone in the party who likes the characters I don't see it. Give yourself at least and hour...........and enjoy what Crystal Palace has to offer........the food at breakfast isn't bad ..........the views can be terrific ...............and POOH!!!

i was at crystal palace for lunch last week and it took more than 1 hr to get all the characters to come to your table. Restaurant wasn't super crowded but with all the meet and greets and all the special songs they do, it takes about an hour. Granted, lunchtime is busier than 8am breakfast, but don't be surprised that even if you arrive at 8am, that you might not sit until 8:15am either

When we were at Crystal palace last week, waitress said it takes up to 90minutes for the characters to come around, and that was about right. In 90 minutes we ate and saw all the characters (one of them twice). We would have had a hard time being much faster, although my two year old may be the slowest eater of all time...
