Does it make sense to handle your time at MK by being strict about staying in limited sections if you go to the park 2 days?

We will be using Genie and ILL and I was wondering if for the most part we should just stay in neighboring sections for each specific day.
If we are able to do everything we want and still have the energy to stay in the park then maybe hit a ride or show in the other section before heading back to the resort? Last year my daughter handled the lead in what rides we went on and it felt like we bounced all over. We were able to do everything but it was chaotic.

When we did 2 days in MK (with DGDs 4 and 6), we did strictly Fantasyland and Tomorrowland the first day, then the 2nd day spent the morning in Fantasyland/Tomorrowland and the rest of the day in the rest of the park.

I mean it depends on your style but I would never only stick to certain sections one day and others another day.
To me that would become boring. Especially if I did everything in the sections I chose and still had plenty of time left in the day.
I crisscross MK every time because who wants to ride Jungle Cruise 3 times in a row because you don't want to go over to walk over to Tomorrowland that day?

We definitely do this especially in the summer when it’s hotter and cannot tolerate criss crossing across the very big park indefintely.

We usually Rope drop fantasyland then do either tomorrowland or Liberty square on day 1. The second day we rope drop adventure land for jungle cruise/pirates then do Frontierland and either liberty square or Tomorrowland.

If you have genie plus it also works well to plot out which “most popular” rides u will book for genie plus each day and divide them between day 1/2

It depends on your personal preference. We've done days with a lot of crisscrossing and days where we've tried to cut down on our walking. All have been fun!

I have no issue moving to an additional section once I complete what I want to do in the sections I am making a priority if time and our energy allows for that. It is the running back and forth I was questioning.

This is what I mean. It just seems to make logistical sense to me.

It is Disney World with my granddaughter so yes it is fun and I am not complaining about how we did it last year. Just that it was chaotic.

Looking for experiences to see if we could ease our effort and still do what we want.

This is what we do as well. It's already so much walking as it is, lots of criss-crossing would be too much on my feet. We don't strictly limit the sections by day, but we do "finish" all the rides in one area before moving to another.

The first time we went we did a lot of criss crossing and I totally consider that a rookie mistake. We wasted so much time
