Heading to WDW in October. I have our ADRs planned out and ready to go for the most part so now I am moving on to thinking about our touring plans. We are doing multiple days at MK. One day will be for MNSSHP. We will also go on the Friday, last full day, of our trip but will have to leave early since it's a party night. This is OK with us though. We have last night plans of a nice dinner and then relaxing and packing at the resort. We will probably go back Saturday after breakfast before we have to catch the bus back to the airport.

My question is: How would you split up your time and spread things out at MK? What would you focus on each day? What could I do party night that I may not be able to as well on the other days? We have never been during this time of year or to a party and this is only our second trip overall. I just want to maximize my time. Mom is not a big fan of thrill rides but I feel like I missed out last time on 7DMT, BTM, etc. I also want to meet more characters this time. Most of the ones I met last trip were during character dining. Thanks in advance!

Personally I would plan my MNSSHP time doing party exclusive things (parade, fireworks, trick or treating, magic shots and exclusive characters). The day of parties are usually lower crowds so with FP+ for the big rides and multiple MK days you should be able to ride everything you want.

I would split it by lands, for example Adventureland/Frontierland/Liberty square (maybe with peter Pan included) one day and Fantasyland/Tomorrowland the other. This makes your FPs and walking easier. I agree at the party you should focus on party stuff like characters, entertainment, parades, photopass.

With the things you mention as priorities, I would recommend Kenny the Pirate's Character Locator. Between characters, parties and plans, he knows his stuff.

Spilt up MK by lands. One day do Tomorrowland and Fantasyland, the next visit do Liberty Square, Adventureland, and Frontierland. That just helps with the walking in a centralized location so you can maximize your visit. As far as character meets, use the MDE app on your phone to check where the characters are and their times. If you're in Fantasyland, see who is there that day and visit their greet!

Hope I've helped!

Thanks! Does Kenny the Pirate have an app or just a website? Never used it before. Just used Touring Plans and MDE app last time.

We always split MK up into adventure land and fantasy land one day, all the other lands another day. We take a third and fourth day to go back and do whatever we missed. We’re always there during the Xmas parties and we visit MK on those days for the lower crowds, we’ll leave around 4 when crowds start to pick up. Then we eat dinner and hop somewhere else for the evening. On party nights is a good time to do the bigger rides and catch the parade and fireworks. And the candy trails if you’re interested, personally I wouldn’t spend time getting candy but kids would love it. And if you like characters, there’s all sorts of characters that are only out for the party.
