I read somewhere that Disney does not guarantee the castle will be lit up for the photo shoot. Has this happend to anyone? If for any reason it is not lit, will they reschedule for you? This is a scary thought.

I doubt that would ever happen, as they apparently keep the lights on everywhere even after closing.
We just had an Epcot reception, and at around 11pm we were allowed to go out into the park (around AA at the World showcase), and have photos taken.
The lights were on right through the park and even the music was still playing.
The assistant that was with us said they do not turn any of it off.

It was also late one night at the Poly that we could see the castle still lit up at 1am.
So I would not worry too much on that score, I am sure it is always on.

This is one of the reasons I decided against doing the Castle shoot. As I heard it it's not guarenteed because the sun may come up too much before you get your pictures. As far as I know, you can not have it rescheduled for non-lighting or weather or any other reason that it would get cancelled, day of.

Hope this helps.

Melissa

P.S. You may wanna look at some of the pics in the photo thread. It's been awhile but I'm fairly certain I've seen someone's pics with the castle in "white", so it does happen.

Certain times of the year it is lighter in the morning. Unfortunately by the time we got set up for our first pictures the sun was already coming up and we didn't get the castle in color.

The pictures still come out beautiful.

I got the castle photo shoot when we got married. And would do it all over again in a heartbeat. The pictures are amazing, even the ones as the sun was coming up. But I would ask the photographer what they have experienced in the past. I hope this helps you.

I'm exactly the opposite of all of you. Our wedding is in Jan and we requested that our photographer wait to take the pics in the front of the castle till the end so that there is sunlight. We aren't crazy about taking pics in the dark so I guess the colored castle doesn't apply to us.

Sajetto; we are in the exact same situation since our wedding is a week after yours :thumbsup2 We really want pictures of the castle when it is light outside!

I mentioned that I would like a little daylight to Rosie and she was just as sweet as she could be. She put a note on our file for the photographer to wait until the end of the session the take pics in front of the castle. She also bent over backwards sending emails to me about what kind of tussy mussy I would need to buy for my bouquet (that is if I decide to have one)

I've seen pics with couples in front of the lit castle (still dark out) and without the color (the sun is already up). All the pics are beautiful. Please don't let something like that bother you. When will you ever get a chance to look like a true princess with your prince charming in front of the castle?
