In June the sun doesn't rise until around 6:30. We can do the MK photo shoot at 5:00 but I am thinking they will not still have us there at 6:30. I know I have read the rule about only one bride per day but I think there is another bride at 6:00 or there is something going on at 6:00. I do love the pictures of the castle lit up but is it worth it if we will be out of there before the sun comes up? thanks

I'm not sure how long you have, hopefully someone else will come on and let you know, but I would try switching the day if you can't get shots in the light. For that much money, I want both!

There are usually two photo shoots, 5 am and 6 am. But even at the 6 am, I wouldn't set your heart on having the day shots. They may start you at the castle at 6 and move you inside while the sun is coming up (depending on cleaning schedules etc). With the MK shoots I hear they are very strict on what time you have at what location and some photographers having to fight for more time.

We were told that we would have exactly an hour (not including travel) and that we would be 1 of 2 bridal shots that morning. I have seen many bridal MK pictures before the sun rises and they are beautiful! The castle is lit up and its gorgeous :goodvibes.
But I think I have read somewhere that if you do MK+another park ($300 more than MK package), you get longer than 1 hour but I am not 100% sure

Thank you all for your replies. We are also doing the AK. If I could get the shots in front of the castle lit up, on the carousel, and in the tea cups I would be happy. It makes me feel better to know that the 6 o'clock shoot will not necessarily get better photos for the same price.

I have a 6am shoot scheduled for June 16 and I was told we'd get dark, sunrise and sunny at that time. So I'm thinking it would still be dark during your 5am shoot with some slight sunrise pics towards the end.

If the sun rises at 6:30 that morning, a little more than half of your pictures would be somewhat daylight IF you had the 6:00am session. BMNT (Begin Morning Nautical Twilight) starts about 15 minutes before actual sunrise, and that is the "bleed over" light you start to get on the horizon shortly before the sun actually breaks the horizon.

If you'd prefer that, I'd request to change. But...they may have you at that time because of your follow-on at DAK. If the park opens at 8:00 that day (or maybe even 9), they wouldn't have you out before guests arrived if you did the 6:00am MK. We were able to do 6:00am MK followed by Epcot, because World Showcase doesn't open till much later.

Heidi-congrats

Thank you both for your reply.

I am kind of kicking myself because I had the 6:00 slot booked then cancelled because I thought I was over my budget. Now that I realize it fits there is only the 5:00 slot on that day. I guess I need to start looking at photos and seeing if I could be happy with the ones just in the dark. I have spend so much time, for a variety of reasons, thinking about the MK shoot that I might as well just do it.

I LOVE my early morning photos in front of the castle! You can still see the lights on and it looks amazing! Our photo shoot was 5:00 am late April.
