I debated for a long time about the MK photo session. The cost of the photo shoot seemed exhorbitant considering that you only get a few pictures, our vow renewal was during the grad night celebrations so we would have the additional lighting tressles around the castle and finally, my DH hates to have his picture taken. I finally scheduled it as it was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Then about a month before our wedding, I cancelled it. Once we got to Disney, I talked to DH and he said he didn't care. If I wanted to do it we could (he didn't know I had scheduled and cancelled). So, I called Rosie back and she said that while she had cancelled us for the shoot, our names were still in pencil in the book so we could have the same time slot that we had originally scheduled.

We did the shoot at 5am the morning after our vow renewal--so the kids would be with my in-laws. I did not have Lisa come back to redo my hair and make-up as she would have had to be there at 3am and I really didn't want to add the extra cost to the already expensive MK photo shoot. So, my hair and make-up were more natural and done by me. Also, I had a lot of problems with my flowers from Disney. Luckily a friend of ours had made all of the flowers for our vow renewal out of silk. I used Disney's bouquet for the renewal and then my friend's silk bouquet for the MK photo shoot. It worked out really well because my bouquet from Disney wasn't looking too good by the next morning!

Anyway, here are the photos. If you need a log-in, it is Otto BP and the password is 1971.

WONDERFUL pix - thanks for sharing. What year anniversary was it? If you don't mind me asking, how much is it for the shoot. How long were you there? What made you decide night instead of day. also, those silk flowers looked amazingly real. Congrats!

Thanks! It was our 11th anniversary. DH has been deployed for 18 months and so missed our 10th anniversary. So, I told him when he came home he had to marry me all over again. Our 11th anniversary was 4/22 and our vow renewal was 5/1. We were there for 15 nights/16 days. Our shoot wasn't at night. It was 5am, so still very dark. I actually think that the 6am shoot (which was already booked) is probably better because then you would get some lighter shots as well.

the pictures looked really good! well worth having them done, you both looked so relaxed and happy!

Beautiful pictures!!! I'm really happy for you that you added them back in, they look like they are worth it! Very beautiful!

So after all the back and forth about having the session are you glad you did it?? Was it fun to be there so early and pose around the castle? I feel exactly like you, I can't decide if it's "worth it" to get it done... What made you finally decide to do for it? (Sorry for all the questions!)

What amazing photos of you and your husband. My fiancee and I are thinking of having that done. But I was concerned with my budget. Gorgeous photos. You may have convinced me to do that now. LOL congrats again on your vow renewal :bride:

Pictures are great. I'll bet you are happy you had them done? Thanks for sharing.

I am glad that we did it. It was very cool to be in the Magic Kingdom so early. I can't say that no one else was around as there was a lot going on the morning that we were there. They were shooting a commercial at Tinkerbell's Treasures in Fantasyland. They were building a wall in the castle where Cinderella's throne used to be. It was kind of neat tho, to drive in a minivan straight down Main Street. I was amazed at how many vehicles were actually inside the park!

I finally decided to do it because it was a once in a lifetime chance and I didn't want to regret not doing it. I also wanted to see how Disney would manipulate the photos to remove the grad night lighting tresses. Of course, it also helped that my inlaws gave us a nice re-wedding gift which helped with the cost.
