MK peak capacity

I was told by a limo driver that the MK will hold 350,000.
That number seems small.
I live in Louisville Ky... We get almost 800,000 for Thunder Over Louisville...along the Ohio River
the kick off to the KY Derby...big air show and biggest fireworks show in the US...

Without saying exactlly what the capacity of MK is (since that is not revelaed to the public) I will tell you that number (350,000) is VERY HIGH...

From what I have heard 350,000 is way over the top. I read that at peak times the crowds max out at ~80,000. This article also stated that slow times are 30,000-40,000 people.

I've heard that the highest number of people ever seen in the MK was between 90-110,000. Because of the issues with fire safety and crowd control, I've heard Disney likes to keep the max number these days in the more manageable 60-70K range, but

80K doesn't sound impossible. Not sure I'd want to be in Fantasyland on that day, but, you know, Epcot's always good.

I had always heard 75-80 K as the max with typical days around 40 K and slow downs to be 20-25K.

This is good news for me. We are planning our first ever Dec. trip and plan to do MVMCP on 12/17 - the first night of our trip and the last night of MVCMP. I have heard that they sell 20,000 and that 12/17 will most likely be a sell out. Well if 20,000 is what they have in the park on a slow day, then we will have a better chance to do things than I thought we would. I have been very worried that it was going to be so crowed that we wouldn't be able to REALLY enjoy it (now I will be in MK - seeing all the Christmas decorations for the first time, so it's not like I would have a bad time). Now hearing that 20,000 is a slow crowd day - well, that just about made my day.
