MK opening at 8 this Saturday?

Will be arriving at the World on Friday. Had planned BOG breakfast months ago at 8:15 to get into MK before park opening at 9. Now noticed that park opens at 8. Doesn't look to be EMH. I've never seen that happen before, is that new?

MK opens at 8am on a semi-regular, but seemingly random, basis during the summer and also during super busy times like Xmas week.

Happens from time to time. Sometimes they'll move the park opening ahead by an hour. It's not an every week type of thing but definitely not rare

It's actually a fairly common occurrence any more. I'm sorry it messed up your plans. You'll have to decide if that early ADR or touring the park that first hour is more important.

I think it is discussed often here. "Pre-opening ADRs " are not guaranteed. Opening hours are changed regularly. Certainly not every week, but frequently. Sorry you are surprised.

We've been here for 4 weeks, and it's happened on a regular basis.

Not just Christmas week; when we were there a few years ago it seemed like almost the entire month of December MK opened at 8.
