MK on Sat. Sept. 11 or Sun. Sept 12?

So here's our dilemma: our schedule only will allow us to visit the MK on the 11th or the 12th of September. I know that the former is the last day of early closure for NOJ, while the latter is an EMH day (although we are staying on-site).

Is the common wisdom that Sunday is the better choice of the two? Or should we go on the mornings on both days, and park hop elsewhere in the afternoons? Or will September crowds be light enough, even with locals being there on the weekends, that it doesn't really matter?

MK has always been a zoo, even when we've gone during the slow season. I wouldn't go on Saturday, unless you were going to do as you mentioned and only go for a few hours and then go back the next morning. Personally, I would go to the MK on Sunday. Get there in time for the early opening and go straight to Fantasyland (I'm assuming you have children). Go to those rides first and make sure you to the little racetrack (always forget the name to that) out of the way before the line gets long. With shorter hours I wouldn't waste time switching resorts.

We do MK on Sundays...Saturdays according to the UOG is a no no.
