MK on Mondays and MGM on Sundays...how are the crowds?

Can anyone tell me how the crowds are, typically, at MGM on Sundays and the Magic Kingdom on Mondays? Light, moderate, crowded? We're planning on going in May, before schools let out, so the summer vacation madness shouldn't be a factor in crowd levels when we go.

Thanks SO much in advance if anyone has any insight for me!

I'm not so sure about MGM on Sundays, but MK on Mondays is almost always crowded, even in the offseason. I thinks it's mostly because it's been historically the EE day for MK, but also because many people arrive on Sunday, and almost everyone wants to do MK first. If possible, avoid it, as well as on Saturdays. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are much better.

Have fun!

Swap your days. MK on Sunday and MGM on Monday. If you are staying onsite, you can also take advantage of the early entry at MK on Sunday.

Try to get to the parks right at opening, you really can take advantage of minimal crowds throughout the parks. When you feel the parks getting too crowded then take a lunch break or something.

I was just going to say the same thing, Scott. You beat me to it :)

Thanks so much for your input! Actually, we weren't going to go to MGM and MK back-to-back...we were thinking of going to MGM or DAK this Sunday, and then MK in a couple of weeks (ahh, the beauty of living within driving distance to WDW!) We usually do MK on Tuesdays, but my son has speech therapy Tues & Thurs, and seeing as it's really close to the end of the school year (the kids get out mid-late May here in FL), I don't want to pull him out.

So is the Magic Kingdom really not that bad on Sundays? I'd think Sundays were worse than Mondays! My DH is trying to swap his days off and get a Wednesday off in a couple of weeks, so hopefully he can so that we can do MK then. Thanks again, everyone!

BTW, MKFan- what part of Puerto Rico are you in? I have family in Carolina...the last time I was in PR was in March of 1998- it was a lot of fun! I went with an old friend of mine, and he was an idiot- we went into Old San Juan and he tried to take pictures of the men in the...what do you call it...the "banished town" thing by the water, and they started throwing beer bottles at us. It was scary as heck then, but hilarious to think about it now!
