MK on July 3rd!

Does July 3rd at MK reach capacity? We are debating sleeping in and going late but don't want to get there and not be let in. I know July 3rd and 4th are crazy busy and I have heard horror stories about being turned away at noon around Christmas time because they reached capacity! If you think the 3rd could reach capacity when do you think the latest you should arrive to avoid being turned away?

I would not go in late. It may be okay but you never know. Safer to go early.

I would think that July 3rd being a Saturday this year would make it more risky. Don't really know, though.

You are so right. I was looking at the wrong month in my calendar . I was just talking to my dad about our vacation plans and realized my mistake. I need more sleep!

We've been at MK on July 3 the past 6 years. We go early to ride rides then leave to swim. We usually return to the park around 6 or so. Have never had a problem.

This is great info, thanks. Last year was our first July 4 week in WDW and we loved it so much we're going again during that week this year and staying at the Poly again. Even though MK didn't reach capacity, the Poly beach sure did
