Sorry to report that Easter and Easter week are VERY crowded.

Bob

Although the weather is very beautiful and the parks are open later, Easter is tremendously crowded! We were going to go down as well April 12 - 18 but decided to postpone and go the week after Thanksgiving instead due to the rememberance of the crowds we experienced Easter Week 2000.

I really, really wanted to go though, but DH reminded me of the long wait times, and reminded me about the sea of people we see at the monorail ramps, etc . . :scared1:

But, there are ways to still enjoy yourself . . .first off, you are at WDW . . ., you can practically guarantee sunny beautiful weather, go to the parks early then take a break, go back to your hotel swim, rest, then later in the day return to the parks. . .

Hope you have a great time! :wizard:

We were there last year during school spring break and while crowded I didn't think it was all that bad. We are even going back this year. Get a good fastpass method going (DH had it down to a science) and I subscribed to TourGuide Mike's website (which I renewed for this trip), I found it very helpful. I do not know how different it will be being onsite this year, but it's DISNEY!!!

We have been taking the kids places where they have to wait in line to get them used to it again!!

Enjoy the magic!

Glad we did Easter at Disney once...but we will never do it again!!! SOOOOO crowded!

Thanks to all of you. I guess i will have to mentally prepare the family for the crowds :grouphug: I am not worried though. This is a very last minute trip. We were already there May & Dec 2005 and we loved it. As long as I can see the Mouse himself All is right with the world. Walt Disney World that is. :teeth:

AVOID MAGIC KINGDOM ON EASTER!!!, AVOID MAGIC KINGOM ON EASTER!!!!!!
IT IS ONE OF THE 4 WORST DAYS OF THE YEAR TO GO TO THAT PARK.

The rest of the week is manageable if you prepare for crowds, dont expect to see and do everything, and take afternoon breaks to recharge your batteries!

Easter is on a Sunday. One train of thought says that this day could be a turnover day for people coming and going from their hotels, and thus, MIGHT, be OK to attempt ???!!!

One poster here before, stated that last year on Easter day they were surprised at the lack of crowds on that particular day.

Or, another train of thought could be I'm just trying to make myself feel better as I will be there at that time !

I'm mentally preparing as we speak. :hippie:

We were at the MK last Easter. Easter coincided with our Spring Break for our school district. Thankfully, this year it didn't. It was extremely crowded that Sunday at the MK, the most crowded I have ever seen. My best advice is to take advantage of any EMH that might be offered on that day. Focus on the rides/attractions that are most imporant to you all. Expect to wait, have an early start, don't become to stressed out!

Remember to have fun, possibly it won't be as bad as last year, because Easter seems alot later this year, and won't be as crowded.

We went to MK last Easter. Easter was early last year (last week of March). We went at 7am for EMH and easily did everything in Fantasyland (some multiple times) in the first hour. Things were manageable for the next hour or so, but by late morning it was packed. We were able to do just about everything we wanted to do, though. Had we not been there at 7am, however, I doubt we would have gotten much accomplished.
