MK on Easter Sunday

How crowded do you think it will be? I have never gone to the parks on a holiday before. Do they have any special parades or anything? We have gone during the summer months before, is spring break much worse?

It will be wall-to-wall people at MK on Easter Sunday! Expect the park to close at capacity fairly soon after opening, and to stay closed until after the parade. Easter Sunday is one of the single most crowded days at MK.

I LOVE WDW, but after spending last Easter AM at the MK I think I can safely say I would rather have my teeth drilled than to go back!! The park was closed really early, I honestly felt like I was drowning in people....you could not take 2 steps without colliding with someone and I was assaulted by about 4 giant stollers every 3 minutes!! We finally gave up and left about 11AM, and I felt like a dying salmon swimming upstream to spawn as we fought our way up mainstreet....we all gave an enormous sigh of relief when we finally got out of the crush of humanity. We went to EPCOT, which was pretty crowded, but NOTHING like the MK...talked to some people at the resort that night that said MGM had been packed and they went to AK, which was full, but not bursting also.

So my suggestion would be if you feel obligated to go Easter week, do MK earlier in the week and then hit AK, or EPCOT, or sleep in and avoid the parks altogether on Easter.

This was our first easter trip and I planned to avoid the mk at all costs on easter day. Our plan worked out well. Breakfast at cape may cafe. Great photo op with minnie and mickey too. Then epcot. They were really pushing the alice in wonderland tea thing. Lots of characters but not what was advertised, like in france it was not belle and the beast, it was frollo and esmerelda and too many times we saw winnie the pooh. We then went to mgm and had dinner at hollywood and vine. I wanted the fantasmic pkg. but couldnt get it, it stormed anyway and we went back to the room. If you plan well you will have a great time.

We didn't even try to go to MK on Easter Sunday. We hung out at Epcot and had a great time. Going to do the same thing this Easter but made PS for dinner at the YC steakhouse.
