Will be in WDW in 2 days. :cool1:

Just wondering, which day would you do MK... on a Sunday or during the week? Both days are a high levels on touring plan but I thought Sundays were lighter days ? Any thoughts on this one ?

Depends. If Sunday is an EMH day, I'd choose a weekday. A CM here on the boards actually posted that Tuesday is the busiest day of the week, contrary to the popular belief that Monday is. Maybe a Wednesday would be best? I'd be curious to hear other opinions on this.

Last time we were there (in "slow" season) Monday was PACKED. Insanely so. We went later in the week and it was much less crowded. Can't comment on Tuesday, though.

We often do weekend trips on our way to the beach for the week at this time of year. We have not felt that Sat or Sun is more crowded than other days of the week. In fact, b/c it is often a transition/travel day, they may even be less crowded (or feel as such). If you get there at Rope Drop, you will have no problems if you choose to go on Sunday. Often we go at rope drop and get a lot done, then leave for the afternoon (go back to the resort to rest/swim) and return in the evening to finish up what we didn't get done. We will be there this weekend, as well, but we will be at MK on Sat.

We went on a Sunday morning a few years ago and it was dead. We walked straight back to FantasyLand and we rode everything in that area in 1.5 hours. I think part of it was that Sunday is largely a changeover day for weekly people and timeshares (?) and that Church is Sunday morning. It got a little busier as the day went on, but nothing too bad. This was during spring break in March.

We recently did MK on a Monday, not during a vacation week or anything, and it was packed. Long waits for everything and the parade routes were nuts.

I think it is hard to determine though.

Will you have park hoppers?

We visited MK on Sunday, March 20th, for the morning (had afternoon flight home). The park opened at 8am and there was a late night EMH for MK.

We arrived at the TTC parking lot around 8:20. We rode Space Mtn with no wait, picked up Peter Pan FP, rode Thunder Mtn twice with no wait, rode Splach Mtn no wait. Next was Haunted Mansion with a 2 minute wait.

When we got back to Fantasyland, the crowds were starting to build up. Peter Pan had a long standby line (30 minutes posted time). We used Peter Pan FP, watched Philarmagic with short wait in the inside queue area, then Pooh with 10 minute wait (posted 20 or 30 minutes). The park seemed to really start to fill up after that.

I'm guessing that the park was going to get crowded before the day was over and that many guests planning to use the evening EMH didn't want to get there too early.

I'm really thinking Sunday will be my "go to" day for fall when MK closes early for MNSSHP. No EMH crowds, and people tend to avoid it one early close days..........

PP is right. If you're doing a PM EMH day, RD is a must!

I'm having the same issue. Our schedule works best if we visit MK on either the Sat. or the Mon. The Monday is a late EMH night so I'm thinking the Sat would be better.

we do have park hoppers ... so thinking Sun at rope drop would be best. It is evening EMH though....We are staying off site so no EMH for us :( I will miss that.

in the past we have gone on a tues or thurs but that was in February. Never been during spring break.

anyway, thanks for the opinions. looking forward to our visit.

We have been watching the hours in the parks for a couple of weeks now trying to figure out what the plan of action should be for us. We are going to EP early Sunday morning and then we will be experiencing MK for EMH until 3AM!! :woohoo:

I agree that Sunday mornings seem to be really good days to go to any park. If you are there at RD I think you will be fine for quite a while. I don't know what time we are going to get there Sunday night, but, here's another family that will be there!

we did a sunday mk last trip end of Feb. I was nervous about it but OMG it was the best day! so not crowded!!

Ive always kind of heard that Sunday afternoon was the slowest, because a lot of people are leaving and a lot of people are arriving, so no one is really in park mode

We always check in early on Sunday at our resort, drop off our bags (normally our room isn't ready yet), then head straight to MK to soak in the castle and Main Street. We find it it usually isn't a very busy day and we're able to get a lot done with little wait.

Glad to hear this because I arrive on Saturday and my first park, as it must be, is MK on Sunday. Since I plan on arriving at rope drop and taking a break later, then coming back after dinner for the late night (let's see how long I can stay awake) EMH, I figure it shouldn't be too bad. My 2nd MK day is a Tuesday......Hopefully the weather will cooperate

We're Friday and Saturday so I hope it isn't too busy. Sounds like Sunday is a good day to be there.

tues and wed are also supposed to be good days at the MK the week of april 4th
