Please help me with my interinary. My family and I (kids ages 8,6,and 2) are planning to be in the MK the first Sat. in May. After reading these forums, I feel as if I am getting mixed messages. On one hand, I read the crowds are low to moderate this time of year and waits are 15-20 min. at the longest. On the other hand I read not to go to the MK on a Saturday because of crowds. Can anyone help me out? What do you "May Veterans" think?

We have only been to WDW one other time (Oct. 2001).
Thanks!

You to arrive early and make use of Fast Pass and you should have a great day.I would say you will encounter moderate crowds most of the day with huge crowds after 5pm.Have a basic plan in place on what you want to see and eat early lunch and dinner to avoid using a lot of your touring time to find a place to eat and getting served.Have a magical time at WDW.::yes:: :wizard: :goodvibes :wave2:

If there's any way you could switch that day with another park, I would do it. Saturdays at the Magic Kingdom are nuts, no matter what time of year it is. ::yes::

Keep in mind that MK closes early (7pm) 4/30 & 5/01 because of Grad Nights. Also no Spectro and Wishes. We will be there the same week. We are going to try MK on Fri. 4/30 I hope it is not too crowded. But, no Wishes. :( We might try to hop back to MK on one of the nights they do have Wishes. Last year we were there at the end of April and MK was packed (on a Mon.)
Crowds were light at all the other parks through the rest of the week.

If you have a park hopper, I would do a different park during the day and come back at night for Spectro and Wishes. We always arrive on a Saturday afternoon in May and go to MK that night just for Specto & Fireworks. It is always very crowded. Any day in the off season that Spectro is shown it is crowded all day. We went to MK on a Tuesday last year, Spectro was being shown that night and the park was jammed all day.
