We’ll be at MK on a party day but not attending the party. I don’t think we’ve ever experienced that situation. Just curious how they make the transition? I know that we can’t scan in for rides after 6 but what about food and shopping? Would love to be able to ride until 6 then get our souvenirs and grab a snack on the way out but don’t want to assume we’ll be allowed to do that?

You can get in line for a ride up until 5:59pm. You generally have 6-7pm to finish up your shopping, photos, watch the castle lighting (6:15pm), get a churro, etc. 7pm is when the party starts and is the true "time to go" time. At that point there will be multiple lines of CMs moving through the park and various points where they check for party wristbands.

Hope that helps!

Very helpful thank you!

Just realize that after 6 you won't be able to backtrack. There will be cast members through out the park checking wristbands and they will not let you go deeper into the park, only forward towards the hub so keep that in mind once 6pm rolls around.
