We are spending two days at Magic kingdom. The first morning, Thursday 6/8, we plan to be there at RD. I'm torn if we should go to tomorrowland and do buzz, SM, etc or if we should go to pirates, jungle cruise, splash, BTM.

The second day, Saturday, we have a BOG PPO so we will go right to 7DMT, Peter Pan, Winnie pooh.

Which direction would be better for Thursday?

The first morning I'd go to Frontierland for the mountains, maybe getting to ride a couple of times, and FP+ Adventureland. On Saturday, knock out Fantasyland and FP+ Tomorrowland.

Um, did you not make any FP plans?

One day minetrain, next day Peter Pan. After Peter Pan you can then head over to Splash and Thunder with low wait times. But if you do minetrain and then peter pan, peter pan will already have a large wait by the time you are done minetrain.

If you are doing BOG pre- park I would suggest being at the gate by 7:30. Pre-order your food and try to be as early in line as possible. Food come quickly. Eat and try to be done by 8:30. When you exit there will be a line forming for SDMT. Get in line. Most of the time they will start the ride by 8:45. Ride and then head directly to PP. they did not start the ride until rope drop last week but we were 2ndin line and they let us go in a few minutes before rope drop and we were out by 9:05. We did have a FP for SDMT as a back up but it was very cool getting that extra ride.

On our last trip, we were at MK at RD. After we were let in, we headed to Tomorrowland and did Buzz twice with no wait, the People Mover once and Carousel of Progress. It was only then that we noticed that Tomorrowland was starting to have an influx of people. We didn't ride Space Mountain, but there wouldn't have been much of a wait for it, if any. We did have FPs for Pirates and Haunted Mansion that day, but they were later in the day.

Peter Pan was on our 2nd MK day and we had a FP for it, so we didn't even try it that morning.

I've never gotten a reliable enough report about Pan at RD to try it. Seems like if you are lucky and they open it with the park, you could get right on. But I've heard it's common for waits to build before the park even opens and for it to open late, resulting in a 15-30 minute wait right off the bat.

We usually head to Frontierland and are able to ride BTMR, Splash, Pirates, JC, and HM without any waits. By then it's time for Pan/7DMT/Space FPs. This to me is an easy and relatively guaranteed plan to execute. We also then sprinkle in rides like dumbo/buzz/people mover between the FPs. So by around 1 we've ridden about 12 rides, including the mountains, pan, 7dmt, all the dark rides minus small world, and a couple others.

I sometimes question whether we should be doing things that take so much time like Splash and Jungle Cruise/Pirates in the morning since it sucks a lot of time up when there is no one in the park. But it always works, so why mess with it?

I like this plan and I think it's what I'll start doing once my son is tall enough for the mountains.

Buzz is an EASY 4th FP (and Pooh is an easy 5th). Do Big Thunder, Splash, Pirates, Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion in the morning and use your FP+ for Space, Pan and whatever other ride (Splash or Big Thunder again or SDMT).

I think Frontierland is blissful at park opening. It is so very crowd-free! I'd head over that way and enjoy the mountains

We didn't PPO bog & were about 60 people back in line for mine train. The photos are time stamped 9:02 & 9:04 from on the ride. When we got to Peter Pan the wait was posted as 55 min but we were in line for less than 20. We did mine train, Peter Pan, pooh, and tea cups between 9-10 if that helps...
