Hey everyone!

So, just wanted to get opinions from people who know if this is doable based on experience.

Magic Kingdom - May 23rd
Be there at 6AM for opening.
Stop at photopass photographers on our way to buzz lightyear space ranger spin.
Ride buzz lightyear.
Head back toward the entrance and go visit talking mickey in town square theater.
Leave the park and take the train to Chef mickey's for 7:10 reservations.
Have breakfast/character interaction.
Be back at park for Anna and Else meet and greet at 9:10. If early enough, maybe visit cinderella's side prior to Anna and Elsa.

Is this possible without risking being late for dining reservations? Will we be able to fit in another short ride or meet and greet in town square before leaving or not enough time? Thanks!

If you are there in good time for the opening the first part looks ok. I think you need to take into account that the crowds could be heavy and the monorail station may be a bit backed up with people. Also, getting back out of the park so early when the crowds are arriving may mean leaving more time than normal to exit the park. You can assess that better when you are there, but I'd be prepared to walk to the CR for your ADR and walk back to be on the safe side. 10 minutes walking vs the risk of being delayed on the monorail makes feet a better option than a beam to me. Does your A&E window start at 9.10 am? If so you can afford a bit of time.

Yeah, starts at 9:10. We just wanted to get as much of the "busier" thing done before it got extremely busy. And also, thanks for the walking tip. The problem is my mom who will be traveling can't walk long distances fast without stopping. She gets horrible leg spasms, so in the event that the monorail is really backed up, we might just take a taxi. Couldn't be more than 10$ one way, right? We were thinking of doing the taxi on the way back to the park regardless because we assumed that by 8ish tons of ppl would start heading towards MK if they missed the 6am opening.

Taking a taxi from MK to CR would require taking the boat or monorail to the TTC first, then hailing a taxi. There are no taxis just sitting outside of MK.

And just a thought for your mom, she might want to rent a scooter for your trip. WDW is a LOT of walking. I know some people don't like them or feel there is a stigma around scooter use, but she has a legitimate medical reason.

Sorry, don't know how to quote both messages, but wow, thank you for that first note! I didn't even think about that. Just so I know, approximately how long is the ride on the boat and how often does it leave?

Also, she does have a legitimate reason, but also it really isn't necessary in her case. She's had leg spasms for a very long time. Chemo-related from the past. She does take muscle relaxers when it strikes, and she will of course have them on her as she always does. She also wears compression stockings for walking. She's an ICU nurse, so she's on her feet all day pretty much every day, and she find that the only shoes she can wear which make it easier are sketchers shape-ups. That being said, she can be on her feet and walk all day without any problems. It's when she has to walk at a good pace for an X length without stopping. It strains her calves and can cause a leg spasm. That's why we especially will be stopping at the photopass photographers. Besides the fact that I purchased MM, it also gives us a chance to stop between point A and point B and let her rest her legs for a minute. She also wants to get as much done that day as possible (it's my son/her grandson's bday and first trip, and our last day at disney), so I'm just trying to come up with the best plan to set her mind at east because i can tell she is worried a little about handling the morning walk between all these things. For later in the afternoon, it isn't an issue. We have the other 2 FP's in fantasy land as well and we'll go land by land.

Thanks so much! :)

Parking for MK isn't actually right next to the park. You'll park at the Transportation and Ticket Center and either take the monorail or a boat to MK. The boats run through the day, but count on waiting 10-15 minutes for a boat if you just missed one. The boat ride is about 10 minutes, I think???

Honestly, even with stopping for your mom to rest for a minute or two, walking to CR would still be your fastest option. The entrance to the monorail is in the opposite direction from the MK entrance as CR, and it's still a decent walk. I'm assuming the park will be pretty packed and transportation will be loaded due to the 24 hour event. Personally, I'd still plan on walking to CR.

Thanks so much! Definitely appreciate it. I'll talk it over with her and figure out what she thinks would be the easiest and best option. :)

Thanks!! :)

Btw, sorry, just assuming and want to be certain. We're staying at Art of Animation. Since the parking lot isn't right in front, I'm guessing when the bus drops us off, we have to take the boat to the MK entrance, right?

Actually, no! If you are relying on AoA buses, they will drop you off near the entrance. No need for buses or boats. The walkway to CR goes right past the bus depot.

No, sorry, i meant to make it over from AoA to magic kingdom for the 6am opening. I want to time it right in terms of leaving the resort.
