MK Main Street Firehouse

I was at the MK in April and the firehouse was closed. There was no sign showing hours of operation or any sign of any kind. Anybody know what the deal is with the hours of operation?

Hi badbrad25 and welcome to The Dis - I see this is your first post .

The firehouse on Main Street is just a gift shop and I don't know why they wouldn't be open. Maybe something happened in April that caused them to close it for just the day or week? . My DH is a volunteer fireman in our town and this gift shop is a must stop for us every year - so I hope it is open when we go.

It's a required stop for us, too, since my DS is a firefighter also. When we've been at MK right at opening time, sometimes the firehouse hasn't been open yet, but it has always been later. Maybe you were just there really early in the day?

You got me my very first post here ! I made my very first trip to WDW in April and now im fully addicted, and cant wait to got back. I'm also firefighter here in california so the firehouse was a 'must' stop as my GF (who lives in FLA) had told me about it. We were at the MK for most of the day and never saw the firehouse open that day. Maybe next time!

Welcome Badbrad25, we were ther in April and I did see the Firehouse closed when we went in but it was open later in the day. This is always my first stop in the MK. Must be a Firefighter thing. Maine
