MK: Main Street Barber, anything special for girls??

I am thinking of bringing DD there. We are going next weekend, and she is going for her 2nd birthday trip. She has watched her older sibling do BBB, and while she is still too young for that, do they do anything special at the Barber shop???? If anyone has any photos, that would be AWESOME!!!!!

They do haircuts and color/confetti. Haircuts are around $15. The color/confetti is $7.50 (free with haircut).

If your DD hasn't had a haircut yet, I would highly suggest taking her their for her first. They give you a certificate and Mickey ears with "First Haircut" embroidered on the back. It was one of the highlights of our trip.

DD7 had her first haircut there when she was 4. They trimmed her hair, put it in a really cute ponytail, sprinkled her with glitter and Mickey confetti, and put a "hidden Mickey" in the back using colored hair gel. I don't know if I've got any good pics because she was so enthralled with her first haircut ears that she didn't want to take them off, but I'll see what I can find...

Oh my gosh, yes! DD had her hair done in an updo when she was 9. It was GORGEOUS! It was filled with glitter and Cinderellas confetti. I don't know how to post the picture, but maybe I can't get DH to help me! We had so many compliments throughout the day that DD didn't want to take her hair down! I'm guessing it was about $14? Not much at all.

DD had it done in October, it was well worth the $15 or so. They trimmed her bangs and cut her hair, then pulled it back and did this

Thankfully she loved it, but we were finding confetti everywhere for days! DH had his hair glittered also, they both got lots of compliments all day at the park.

I got "Pixie Dusted" in 2006 and there was no charge at that time. It was fun and THOROUGHLY embarrassed my kids who were 15 and 18 during that trip!

I don't think so. They really don't "style" the hair. They will put it up into a simply ponytail or paint/confetti it as is. There are no appointments, so the line would be hours long if they were taking the time to straighten/style everyone's hair.

My daughter turns 22 in May and she wants to get her hair "done" first thing in the morning!!!

My older DD (4) and DS (6) now want to get it done. I 'may' suck it up and have the whole family, that would be pretty fun for the baby's birthday!!!!!!!

I am actually surprising df with this when we are on our hm... he wanted to go to the barber shop last time and neverknew they had one there!Seems like such an awesome thing to do!

No one is too old

Right before my kids got their haircut there was a family with 4 girls (teens to mid-twenties) that all had their hair done. I've also seen pictures of men who got a mickey painted on the back of their head instead of the colored highlights.
