MK - last night

We were there last night to see the NYE fireworks so we could be at Epcot today for New Years. It was definitely crowded but I didn't think it was looking like that type of crowds. We had a nice spot over by Big Thunder.

Currently at Epcot now. Good luck to those going to MK today. This morning at 8am the traffic was heavily backed up..we were thankful to be taking the Epcot exit

I think that's it exactly. The CM's do a fabulous job moving people through the crowds, so it actually doesn't feel as crowded as it looks.

It's just a different type of trip. We've done it many times where we start on 12/30 and stay for a week. Crowds thin out and it's more normal feeling after 1/1.

There is something very magical about seeing the spectacular NYE fireworks surrounded by thousands of others and being a part of it. The energy is unreal. We do MK on 12/30 and Epcot on NYE when we do it and the shows are worth the crowds, IMO.

The CMs also do a better job of moving people through than they do on normal days. Not even kidding! There are actual enforced aisles for walking. It's great!

We don't go expecting to ride every ride on those days and that's okay. We are there for the festivities and the fireworks. We always make an ADR or two to get out of the fray and it has always worked for us.
