MK July 4th Fireworks

Does anyone know if you can see the MK fireworks from anywhere in downtown Disney? Looking for a place outside MK to view tonight's fireworks.

I wouldn't recommend it this year due to the construction.

Not tonight, July 4. There are already signs that they will be checking magic bands tonight.

in the past couple of years the beach at the poly has been so crowded and trashed, including things being taken off guests porches every year they threaten to card/band everyone.

This year with the construction, I bet they will.

No bets, they have already informed guests with sandwich board signs that they will need their MB to get on the beach.

We needed our MB at the gate last week to get into the parking lot just for breakfast at Ohana.

I've seen the signs in the past but when it came time for fireworks I didn't hear a single report of a check or anyone seeing someone checked

Have seen pictures on facebook today of portable scanners the CM's are using. Apparently because so much of the beach is closed off because of the construction they are enforcing this year. Presumably because of the construction and related fences, etc it will make it easier since there are physical barriers in place around the resort.

Okay there you go. I figured Disney would at least check people this year.

Now we will have to see if people are removed. Or if Disney/Poly is just counting on the threat to keep the crowds down.

I've seen the same Facebook post, and they are indeed actively scanning guest's magic bands.

They have done it in the past and denied access and this year they are going to be much more strict because of the construction. And get ready for this to become the standard. There are reliable reports that access to the main beach will become gated access when the pool refurb and DVC construction is finished.
