MK - How does the Halloween Party affect daytime attendance?

I was just curious how the 'normal' attendance in the Magic Kingdom is affected by the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party? From my poking around it looks like the party requires a separate admission ticket. Does that make the park less busy during the day? I can't imagine too many people purchasing both tickets...unless, can you use your hopper ticket to get back in for the party?

The reason I ask is because I may possibly end up in Orlando next week and was just curious if it was worth a quick day trip. I am not so much interested in going to the Halloween party as I am just visiting the park during the day.

I am just hesitant if it is going to be wall-to-wall people. I am usually an off-season kind of girl. ;) I would consider EPCOT (my favorite park!) but the Food and Wine Festival has me running for cover...

Absolutely. Only a party ticket--and not any other--works for admittance to the party.

Party days are definitely less crowded. Most people don't want to "waste" a park day at MK when it closes at 7:00. I wouldn't expect an empty park by any means, but it will probably seem close to your off-season touring.

As stated, I definitely would say that party days are significantly less crowded than non-party days. Firstly, longer hours attract guests on the other days. Secondly, nighttime entertainment like MSEP is not offered on MNSSHP nights, so people opt to go when that's showing, and thirdly, no EMH causes less Disney Resort Hotel guests.

Party days are the best days to visit during the "party" time period because they cause many guests to fill up the parks on the few non-party days.

Also, as Mesaboy2 stated, the only way to be admitted into the party is with a special MNSSHP ticket (PHs do not count).

We were there a few weeks ago, and the Magic Kingdom was fantastic on Halloween Party nights. The lines were so short and it wasn't crowded walking around or in the stores. It was especially good from 4 - 7. Most people don't know that you can stay that late or they just give up and leave for dinner.

I liked the park the best on those days. Enjoy!

Sweet! We will see how the weather goes and if those I am traveling with are interested. It will be difficult to go to WDW for only one day... But one day is better than no days... :)
