MK Hopping

I just saw the announcement that you can no longer hop to MK in the afternoon. I was planning on doing this to take advantage of the Resort Evening Hours on Wednesdays. Since this is no longer allowed can you pick MK as your original park reservation, hop to EP and return for the evening or are you stuck with MK all day?

I believe that hopping to the MK was suspended today (October 1) shortly after it began at 2 PM due to capacity limits. Not surprising since everyone who couldn't get a reservation for the MK today would want to hop there to celebrate the 50th.

I would be surprised if crowds reach this level later this fall and winter but there has always been a possibility that a park could reach capacity and hopping would not be permitted. This is the first time that it has occurred since the reopening.

They just weren’t allowing it today due to crowds (hopping at 2pm has always been subject to capacity and this was the first time since it’s returned that it has come to this)

I can also see maybe thanksgiving, Christmas and nye as last year those happened before hopping was reinstated

It happened for a few hours today but then was reported to open again.

@mavadell, can you please provide an update on your original post so as to not cause confusion that it has been stopped permanently? Thanks!

Reports are that hopping at 2:00 was happening but suspended until later in the evening. People reported being able to hop for fireworks at MK.
